It’s spooky season 🎃

Join us at 10th Planet Bastrop for our Halloween open mat, from 11am-1pm on Saturday, October 31st. We will be having a barbecue as well, grilling up some meat, with plenty of sweet treats and beverages. Come hang out and get some rolls in before the other holiday festivities later that evening.

“Who will survive, and what will be left of them?”

Fun fact: The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre was filmed in Bastrop. It was only fitting to make a Halloween edition @10pbastrop shirt to pay homage to one of the greatest horror films of all time, filmed right here in our backyard.

Massive congratulations to these guys on their promotions last night! They are a reflection of the work, consistency and attitude they’ve brought to the mats. Promotions like these mean a lot because they represent far more than just time spent training; they reflect growth, discipline and a commitment to the art.

Belt promotions will never be given lightly here at 10th Planet Bastrop, and maintaining a high standard for earning a new rank makes them that much more special and meaningful. Lineage in jiu jitsu is more important even than the belt rank itself. Not all belts are created equal.

Spent the last week of my month long trip in the Austrian Alps at an invite only 7-8+ figure business owner retreat. Instead of talking business, we spent the week learning about more important things. Starting a family, personal values, raising kids, praying together and much more.

Truly blessed to spend this week with such amazing and driven people all making an impact on the world. Great things ahead.

The team had a great showing yesterday at Grappling Industries! This was the first tournament that @10pbastrop went out together to compete in, and everybody who competed made it onto the podium! Despite only having a small number of competitors, we still took 3rd place in overall points for the team standings.

Between all of our competitors we secured 4 gold medals, 3 silver, and 2 bronze.

I cannot be any happier or more proud of the squad for the hard work that they’ve put into their training and preparation for the tournament, including those who didn’t compete but still showed up consistently to help those that did. We have only been open for 6 months and have already started to build up an incredible team. I can’t wait to see where we’ll be in another 6 months.

Come see why we’re the premier nogi school in Bastrop. You won’t find another school with the same high level of instruction, quality of training partners, and positive atmosphere.

Just a few class pictures from this week of training here at 10th Planet Bastrop! I am thrilled to already have such a solid group of guys and gals who are showing up consistently to train and get better together.

There will be some new classes and training opportunities landing on the schedule before the end of the year, and we’re still offering discounted membership rates to those who are joining us at the early stages of the gym. Visit our website (link in bio) or send a DM to get more info or to get set up for a free trial class. Come see for yourself the high level of instruction, the quality of training, and superb atmosphere and environment to develop your full potential on the mats.
