We bought 17 acres in South Carolina with dreams of building our forever home. 🌾🏡

But after exploring traditional construction, we decided to go a different route… a manufactured farmhouse!

And honestly? The options available today might surprise you.

There are a few interior upgrades that we are adding to this home. Some of these include adding a shiplap wall and fireplace to the living room & brick around the outside of the home! Honestly, much of this house comes as shown! After moving in our plans are also to add in hard surface countertops, as well as LVP flooring throughout.

We’re sharing the entire process the decisions, the expenses, the challenges, and eventually turning this property into our dream homestead. 🤎

Disclaimer: I sincerely apologize for some of the choppy clips. In the manufactured home world you can’t always physically tour each and every home out there. I did extensive research and was able to tour one that was partially set up. I wanted to bring y’all somewhat of a home tour prior to having it delivered on our land.

Who says a manufactured home can’t be a dream home? 🤍

When we bought our 17 acres, we knew we wanted something special. A place to slow down, raise animals, grow our own food, and create a life we love.

And the more we explored our options, the more we realized that our dream home didn’t have to look like everyone else’s.

This is the Buccaneer Arabella, the farmhouse we’re working toward making our own. 🌿

Because at the end of the day, it’s not about how a house is built. It’s about the memories, love, and life you build inside it.

When we agreed to do this with Clayton Homes, I knew it would be such a cool experience. What I didn’t expect was how emotional I’d be watching it back.

Seeing our home, our life, and the little everyday moments between Josh and me captured this way feels so incredibly special. The things that feel ordinary while you’re living them somehow don’t look ordinary at all when you get to see them from the outside.

This home has held so many versions of us, so many dreams, so much laughter, and so much life. And getting this little time capsule of us, right now is something I’ll cherish forever.

Junior Achievement BizTown Pop-Up @itsbristolbaby is officially open for business!

Over the next few weeks, thousands of 6th grade students in the Tri-Cities area will take part in this hands-on experiential learning opportunity, running a simulated town and connecting the dots between what they learn in school and the real world.
