📚 Review Day! 📚 Identity Crisis wasn’t exactly what I was expecting to read. It took me quite a few chapters to find my rhythm because when you hear science fiction, space opera adventure — there’s an assumption of a more serious tone. Identity Crisis didn’t feel serious — and there were moments in the book where I wanted to reach into the pages and shake the characters to take the situation they were in seriously! It was a little frustrating. I think classifying this as a Space-Comedy Saga; and marketing to the younger side of YA would set the tone of the novel for potential readers a bit better. That being said, I thought the Rixxonians were interesting and I loved the idea that they were different shades of green based on their access to sunlight! A few of the main conflicts felt easily solved and I didn’t feel like the characters were working that hard or experiencing enough character growth with those quick solutions. There were some interesting inventions and new technology that I was fascinated by and the overall world development was the strongest feature of this novel. Also - loved the progression and changes of the chapter headings! Annnnddd…. The ending felt like there is A LOT more to come! If you’re looking for a unique, comedic take on a space opera for young young adults then give Identity Crisis a try! Thank you to @lovebookstours and the author Clayton Pulsipher for my copy! #Repost @booked.and.busyy ・・・ Thanks so much to @lovebookstours for a copy of IDENTITY CRISIS in exchange for an honest review 😍🛸🚀 "Through the winds of change, we stand tall as trees." Jag has always wondered why he’s different from the other Rixxonians. So when strange visitors show up in the jungle, he can’t help but follow. He could’ve never predicted his search for answers would propel him off planet and into the middle of a galactic conspiracy. Aided by the mysterious Arbiters and their advanced technology, Jag and his brother, Sixxis, travel to astounding new worlds as they assemble a team to oppose the Prospectors’ Guild and its violent operations run by the fiendish Advocate. But each success only brings more chaos. And the more things unfold, the more Jag can’t help but think it’s all connected. Will Jag discover the truth behind his identity—or has fate already decided his path? SO MUCH FUN! I self-proclaimed 2023 to be a year of more sci-fi books, ESPECIALLY space sci-fi books, and this was a great addition to my year so far! Since I'm still pretty new to the genre, I tend to enjoy story lines and plots that don't leave me lost or confused, and I'm so happy to say that this book kept me wanting more and super excited for the next one! Jag and Six are such wonderful companions into a new galaxy! Can't wait for more adventures 😍 #lovebooktours #identitycrisis #bookmail #booklover #bookstagram

AD / PR BOOK REVIEW ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Identify Crisis by Clayton Pulsipher Today is the last day of the @lovebookstours for Identity Crisis and it's so good to be back I time to share my review on my spot today. Firstly thank you to the author @clayton_pulsipher and #lovebooktours for my gifted copy of this book. MY THOUGHTS - I do enjoy a good Sci fi read, and this was definitely a good sci fi read. This debut novel is book one in a new trilogy, and is full of action, adventure, friendships and found family. I loved these MCs. Sixxis is definitely my favourite, and I love the way he always dives head first into danger, but at the same time always has everyone's back. There is some great world building in this book. And it's easy to get swept along, turning page after page. What starts out in a small isolated community on a planet where the tribes moto is "Through the winds of change, we stand tall as trees" soon takes on a twist as outsiders arrive on the planet, an ancient beast is released and Jag sets off on a spaceship to take on the guild and the Advocate. I do like the different aspects we see of Jag, his friendship with Sixx, his confusion at being so different from everyone else on the planet and how well he adapts to all the changes. Sci fi fans this is definitely a book to read. This is definitely a book series I'll be following. Available now on kindle and PB. BLURB in comments. QOTD - If you could find yourself on another planet, what would you want it to be like? AOTD - I'd love to go to a planet with huge oceans and be able to swim under water. #bookaddict #bookstagram #readingcorner #bookreview #bookrecommendations #bookshelves #scifiadventure #scifi #bookstagramuk #bookstagrammers #booksofinstagram #whattoreadnext #whatareyoureading #supportauthors #supportindieauthors #bookseries #readthisnow #tourstop #identitycrisis

#Repost @bookaddict.twylie68 ・・・ ⭐️AD-PR PRODUCT⭐️ 📚Identity Crisis by Clayton Pulsifer📚 Blurb “Through the winds of change, we stand tall as trees.” Don’t hesitate—dive into book one of this new and exciting SciFi trilogy! Excerpt It’d been just over 135 hours since the last eclipse, the Rixxonian jungle’s only relief from the scorching sun. That meant they had about five hours to finish the hunt and head home. Good thing Jag didn’t miss. All he needed to do was find his prey. Crossbow in hand, he lowered to a crouch and crept through the undergrowth. The cerulean sky peeked through the perpetual green a short way off—a break in the all-consuming thicket. Jag pressed toward it. And with each step, the ever-present, all-too-familiar rays penetrated the brush about him, baking into his skin and bringing a soft warmth to his face. Jag found solace in hunting. Making himself scarce, becoming one with his surroundings—it comforted him. He had one goal, and one consequence for failure: no fresh meat for him and Sixxis. This fed his instinct, clearing out everything but his will to survive—which was usually great for days like today when he was having trouble shutting his mind off. Not even hunting was helping today, though. He couldn’t shake his thoughts. It all seemed so… loud. The brush thinned as Jag made his way to the cliff’s edge. There, he pressed his back against a tree. This was probably his favorite spot in the jungle, the one place close to home offering an unobstructed view of the Rixxonian expanse. The imposing canopy blanketed the rolling hills before him. Green faded to blue as forest met sky, everywhere save a distant, pointed peak that rose above it all. Were he closer to the mountains, Jag might’ve been scared; after all, it was the mountain dwellers who invaded his village and scattered his people all those eclipses ago. But he was safe here. He could admire the peak for what it was: a glimpse of a world beyond his own. Like him, it was unique, unlike anything around it. Thank you @lovebookstours and @clayton_pulsipher for my gifted copy . #ad#gifted#lovebookstours#identitycrisis#booktour#bookreview#bookstagram

📚Book Review📚 Identity Crisis Clayton Pulsipher 🌟🌟🌟🌟 This is the first book in a new series - The Arbiter Trilogy which follows Jax and his brother Sixxis travel to new worlds to build a group who will defend against the guild. As with most sci-fi/fantasy books, especially the start of a new series, there was a good amount of character and world building. This was well written, well developed and beautifully described so that it was easy to become part of their lives and world. I'm not always too keen on a lot of detailed world building as I find I get quite bogged down in it and lose my way - but I found this to be quite understandable and even atmospheric. I loved our main characters - and their mission and new team - it felt at times a little like guardians of the galaxy - just due to the feeling of a found family and the loyalties and new friendships building as well as the odd funny quips going round. Overall, a really good read and I'm actually really looking forward to seeing what happens next in book 2 - high praise for a genre that isn't usually my favourite. #ad #gifted

This world was created with such detailed descriptions, it comes alive in your mind. I loved these characters! Sixxis was definitely my favorite. Full of intrigue, Clayton keeps you turning pages late into the night. The plot was well done and not something you come across over and over like some sci-fi novels can be. This is new and inventive and I couldn't get enough. I personally can't wait for the next book in the series!! Huge thanks to Love Book Tours and Clayton for my gifted copy!
