Thank you to the CLBJJ for the great tournament. It’s amazing to have a well run, fun tournament right here at home. Thank you to all the other teams that participated and all the athletes who competed. Valens Jiu Jitsu Academy is the home of GFTeam in Saskatchewan and we are so proud of our athletes, coaches and the supporting family and friends who helped us have another great result. This year we were able to win the 1st place team trophy for the adult and master gi division. We look forward to improving and working with all the other great teams in the province to grow the sport and push each other to a higher level.

Two of my students from @sonsofthunderbjj entered the annual Canadian league of Brazilian jiujitsu today and challenged themselves. @christian_stroet came home winning gold in both gi and no-gi absolute divisions and Leah came home with a bronze in Gi and a silver in no - gi. We are very proud of there performance and representation of our club on the @clbjjofficial . #princealbertjiujitsu #kellyparentjiujitsu #sotbjj #sonsofthunderbjj #gold

How do you know you’d ace that test… if you never write the test? 🤔 stop contemplating wether or not you should compete - especially if you’ve been doing the sport for at least a year. I’d like to see more local competitors in your areas be interested in testing their skills so we can get more opportunities for people to have fair match ups in their age/weight and skill category. That starts with you being willing to test yourself!

My go to local comps I like to send my students to, or have personally competed in:
