⚽️🗣️ “If I get the opportunity to move up a tier, should I take it?”

For many players, progressing through the football pyramid is the ambition.

A higher league. A bigger challenge. An opportunity to test yourself against stronger opposition.

But does moving up always mean better development?

The highest level isn’t automatically the right environment for every player.

At Female Football Network, we want players and parents to feel confident asking the questions that matter before making important football decisions.

What coaching will you receive? How realistic are your playing opportunities? Is there a clear development plan? What support is available? And where could the opportunity lead?

Because a higher-tier move can accelerate your development, but so can staying somewhere you’re challenged, supported and playing regularly.

Progression isn’t always about moving higher. It’s about moving forward.

🩷✍️ That’s why we’ve created this FFN Development Guide.

To help players and families look beyond league positions, understand what makes a strong development environment and make informed decisions about their next steps.

At Female Football Network, we’re connecting players with development guidance, support, pathways and opportunities — from grassroots through to the professional game.

Your next move should be about more than a league position. It should be about your potential. 🩷

📌 SAVE this guide for your next club decision.

🔁 SHARE it with a player, parent or coach who could benefit.

💬 PLAYERS: Would you move to a higher-tier club if it meant fewer playing minutes? Or stay where you’re developing and playing regularly?

Looking for guidance? Join Female Football Network through the link in our bio.🤝

Looking for a founding technical co-owner in the North East to build Athletiq with me. 🚀

I’m bringing my experience in professional football and sporting network to a platform designed to connect athletes, coaches and sports businesses. Now I’m looking for a technical partner to help shape the product, lead development and grow the business alongside me.

This is a co-founder and ownership opportunity, with equity, responsibilities and commitment to be discussed openly.

If you have experience building apps and want to be part of Athletiq’s journey, drop me a message.

Know someone who could be a great fit? A tag or share would be appreciated.

The pressure of trying to become a professional footballer is already difficult, so these kids don’t need any more added pressure from you as a parents. They just need mom & dad to support them no matter what, whether that’s football or working in McDonald’s. Let them enjoy football, make their own mistakes, chose their own journey. #parents #football #youthfootball #academyfootball #advice

🤝 We are really proud to announce Mentora UK as our newest Athletiq Founding Partner.

Mentora supports athletes beyond the pitch through mentoring, workshops and personal development—helping players manage setbacks, build confidence and prepare for every stage of their journey.

This partnership is particularly meaningful to us as founders. Through our own personal circumstances and experiences within football, we have seen first-hand how difficult periods of uncertainty can be—especially when leaving a club, searching for another opportunity or not knowing where to turn for support.

We understand the difference that trusted guidance and having someone in your corner can make. That’s why we can see the genuine value Mentora will bring to Athletiq and the athletes using our platform.

Together, we’ll help athletes develop as people—not only as players.

Building the future of sport. Together. ⚡️
