FOR US, BY US / Kafkaesque out now on @stillillrecords / streaming link in bio👇

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Clean Slate are a hardcore punk band from the Philippines fronted by RJ - the CEO of Manila hardcore, and the man behind Still Ill Records, the label and booker that brought countless legendary hardcore bands through the city.

They’ve released three records on Still Ill: Demo 2016, Young World, and Kafkaesque. Dynamic riffs, crushing breakdowns, and melodic hooks deliver classic hardcore with a modern edge. They may sound straight edge, but they cannot stress this enough that they are not a straight edge band.

Released in 2024, Kafkaesque is a perfect six-track EP from start to finish. Lyrically, it draws references from Nietzsche, Kafka, Camus, and even the Bible. Standout track “PHC” has become the anthem of Pinoy hardcore — a declaration that the scene is more than just a scene: a community built by the people for the people, hence the line “FOR US, BY US.”

After a decade, this is Clean Slate’s final tour. It is our honour to host them for their last show with the full original lineup at Blank Slate Fest 2026.

All good things must come to an end.

FFO: Judge, Speedway and Turning Point
