🎤 A Timeless Classic. Reimagined With Soul.

Some songs become timeless because they continue to inspire new generations of artists.

Robin Barnes delivers a heartfelt and beautifully expressive vocal performance during her soulful interpretation of Elton John & Bernie Taupin's iconic "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," captured LIVE at NAMM 2026.

Rather than simply covering a legendary song, Robin brings her own unmistakable voice, warmth, and artistry to every lyric. Blending the spirit of New Orleans jazz, soul, and storytelling, she transforms this beloved classic into something both deeply personal and refreshingly original.

This is one of those performances that reminds me why I love documenting LIVE music—moments where genuine emotion, musicianship, and timeless songwriting come together in a way that stays with you long after the last note.

Max Bronstein delivers an outstanding, melodically expressive guitar solo during Robin Barnes’ soulful reinterpretation of Elton John and Bernie Taupin’s timeless classic, “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” captured LIVE at NAMM 2026.

His solo balances technical precision with musical sensitivity—combining lyrical phrasing, dynamic control, articulate fretwork, and a beautifully shaped melodic progression that deepens the emotional character of the performance. Rather than overpowering the song, Max listens, responds, and allows every phrase to become part of the larger musical story.

This is guitar playing that reaches beyond technique: purposeful, expressive, and completely connected to the music.
