Exquisite Corpse Art-a-thon: ARTIST SPOTLIGHT
K. Kinsley Momberger

@kinsleymomberger

I am a mixed-media artist, living in Gainesville, Florida. Recently, I retired from the University of Florida where I was the art director for Explore, UF’s research magazine. My digital design work also includes illustration and large public installations.

I believe that art and a creative practice are good medicine. I am curious about all things ancient and how we connect to myth, our ancestors and the unseen world of spirit and imagination. I find stories in the natural world. No matter the subject, or composition, my artwork speaks to me as landscape.

Kinsley will be working on creating during the first 24 hour section of the event on October 26 during the Art-A-Thon, and would love your support! Just like a walk-a-thon or marathon, you can sponsor Kat’s work on her personal fundraising page. Every donation goes to supporting GFAA’s exhibitions, programs, and resources for artists in our community (70%) AND to Kinsley (30%). The Exquisite Corpse Art-A-Thon fundraising link is in our bio, and you can find Kat’s individual page there!

You can see Kinsley at work during the Art-a-thon when the gallery is open: Monday, October 26 from 11 - 4. Artwalk is Friday, October 30 from 7 - 10pm, and we’ll be doing the Big Reveal at 7:30. Don’t miss it!

THANK YOU to Kinsley for sharing your time and talent with us and for being a part of our community of co-creation.

THANK YOU to you for supporting our amazing local artists!

Big thanks to Damon and the summer camp at Legacy Park in Alachua, FL for welcoming the Gainesville Chain Hawks Disc Golf Club on Friday July 11, 2025! We had an awesome time hosting a multi-station disc golf clinic introducing the campers to the sport we love. There was a roller, forehand, putting, and ring of fire station. Great energy, great questions, and a lot of fun throws—thanks for having us! 🥏🌳

Thank you to all of the volunteers:

So many things. To be thankful for....
1)My hound dog, Henry
2)Naycher
3)Decent weather
4)LOCAL ARTISTS!!!
The ground is soggy
Feelin' groggy
Walkin' the doggy
All the while foggy.. about the murals...
(Interesting fact... the Mural fotos here are of LOCAL ARTISTS
All crammed onto one crumbling wall, behind trees and bushes, in a traffic circle) THIS IS HOW 352murals treats the locals, (although some of the "locals" kissed ass to get more projects. my respect for them is zero...), I was actually told by one of the upper ups of the mural project, and I quote, "Gainesville artists are crap". (R.V. 2017)
