Last week Missy Hernandez and Miguel Silveira of Neither/Nor Studio joined us to share their masterclass One Day to Make a Film.
It was an inspiring evening filled with valuable insights into the filmmaking process and great conversations, networking… and plenty of popcorn. Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a success!
Be sure to follow @neithernor_studios to see their incredible work, and stay tuned for future workshops and events. We'll also see you at the next Film Lab at the Ojai Underground Exchange on July 2nd!

All angels go to heaven 😇

I finally met ANGEL (1983)!!! I’ve been wanting to meet Donna Wilkes forever…the last appearance she made was in 2020 and I couldn’t go…now I got my chance at @hollywoodshow1 🙌😇

I decided to get my original Angel one-sheet signed…I got it at a New World Pictures exec’s estate sale about 5 years ago👼💖

Even though ANGEL is considered an 80’s “exploitation film”, I find this movie to be surprisingly sweet. You feel the sense of family and community in this oddball cast of characters and the love that everyone has for Angel is palpable. The film never “judges” Angel for what she does. As the audience, we root for her and care for her. I love this movie so much and if you’ve seen MAXXXINE (2024) you know that it owes a great debt to ANGEL! 👼💄

I asked Donna how it was like to work with Susan Tyrell and she said “Oh yeah, she was great! Stole every scene!” 🥹❤️And she was a good sport about me being a goof ball w/ my plastic toy prop lol 😂

Finally I had to show off again my original press kit for ANGEL bestowed to me by
@cinema_force!! It belonged to trailblazing reporter/film critic Bobbie Wygant, and is from her personal collection 🥹💖

Tell me…have you seen ANGEL (1983)??

Thank you so much to everyone who made last night so special. If anything can heal me, it's animals and music. And lord knows I needed some healing as I drove into Canyon City last night! Glen's wise words about grief just being love, and that grief needs to be FELT hit home for my heart. And I felt loads of love from everyone there! Those memories will last a lifetime, and may well be what pulls me through...

Again, huge thanks @imtoddgrimes ! My wish is that one day you'll truly be as excited to hear from DBrown as D Green 🤣🤣! Hope to see you next year.

I miss you, Ralphie!
