In Nursing Schools, many Black nursing students are not exposed to Nurse Anesthesia as a viable career.

In 2023, Diversity CRNA HBCU School of Nursing Tour at Howard University, Clifford Charles, CRNA as preceptor with nursing student on spinal placement on a lumbar mannequin before they graduate from school.

If you notice, Black Men nursing students met for the first time, Black Men CRNAs at Howard University. The importance of Black Men CRNAs in close proximity to students in Nurse Anesthesia career exploration is vital in planting seeds to changing professional and educational trajectory.

We will repeat this again at North Carolina A&T State University School of Nursing on March 15, 2024. All intentional.

Lastnight was surreal. I didn’t plan on celebrating but I’m told 25 years is a milestone. Cliff Charles, CRNA, MSN from Long Island, NY as preceptor! We gave a memorable experience to a group of very motivated senior Nursing students about to crush their NCLEX-RN board exam!
