This year’s seminar truly taught me some valuable lessons. I’m so extremely grateful to have experienced LYS once again. The people, chants, and late nights could always bring me back in a heart beat. And while the week wasn’t perfect it was still amazing because nothing could ever ruin the joy that LYS brings me. LYS is the perfect reminder that even the hardest moments can be apart of something beautiful.

To my Anemonesss so happy to have served as your chairperson. I will miss all our laughs, inside jokes, and everything that made our group special.

Lastly I’m so grateful to have been selected as Most Outstanding Delegate truly such an honor. I will forever carry the words “No man is an island” where ever I am because who are we without each other. @louisianayouthseminar #nmiai #anemones

LYS 2026 has come to an end, and here is what I have to share
Life is fleeting. Every person I met here felt as if I had spent an eternity getting to know them. Felt as though I was meant to meet every single one of these people. Austin was one hell of a roommate that I annoyed way too much. Avery was a beautiful soul who I’m infinitely glad I met. Gabe reminded me that even when I lost, there was room for growth. Cline reminded me that you can be creative and take charge without making others feel small. Caroline reminded me that wisdom does come from age, but experience in what you do. And Joe reminded me that you can find comfort in those who share experience, even from different walks of life. These are just a few of the people I met at LYS this year, but every single person I met I am glad to say I did. LYS is my home, and always will be. I regret to say I can never be a delegate again, but I am proud to say I once was. I love my LYS, and I pray that every single person who ever gets to go to LYS gets to feel the same love I felt through my 3 delegate years.

Two weeks ago, I left home embarking on a journey in which I thought would feel like forever. In reality, these weeks have felt like a few seconds. I left home and can confidently say I returned home a new person. Ultimate Life Summit and Louisiana Youth Seminar have given me the tools to selflessly serve and uplift the people around me.

Dear ULS, you have given me memories that I’ll remember for the rest of my life. Being placed in a group with so many accomplished students across the world taught me humility and inspired me to learn from the people around me. The love that was felt during every session is something that could not be replicated anywhere. Shoutout to my pink group, the people that made me feel welcomed and kept me laughing to tears. Even after transitioning to yellow group I still had a family in every person I spoke to. One of the biggest blessings, aside from creating a second family, was being selected for the Unlimited Potential Scholarship. I am honored to say that my summit guides and staff recognized me at that level. I am still in shock!! You truly don’t know where being yourself and acts of kindness might get you.

Dear LYS, attending even after being exhausted from another week of nonstop go was not easy but I am so glad I did. The long nights and early mornings, the constant chanting and laughter is something that I will miss dearly. Being surrounded by other students in Louisiana helped me realize that we are all so much more similar than we realize. I learned that No Man is An Island and everyone is interlinked. LYS is a place where mistakes don’t exist, and where taking the biggest risk is normalized. LYS is a place where you can be your loudest and most rambunctious self and no one will turn their head. Most importantly, LYS is a place where everyone uplifts each other and encourages one another to be the best version of themselves. 4EVA A CLOWNFISH!!!!

Thank you @louisianayouthseminar for the most amazing week! From the early morning chants to late night gigges, I cherished every moment with the most amazing people. Never once did I feel out of place or like I didnt belong because I always had the support of my peers regardless of what happened. I couldnt have asked for a better experience and will cherish these memories for life!

@louisianayouthseminar, you so genuinely changed my life in a way that only those who have experienced seminar could understand. in the lys theme song, there’s one line that really stands out to me: “each man’s joy is joy to me; each man’s grief is my own.” to me, the most amazing part about being in a community is celebrating each other’s wins and mourning each other’s losses in a such a sincere way that you feel that they are your own. this week, i laughed until my abs were sore, cried until my throat started to hurt, and shouted until my voice eventually gave out. through it all, i had my home group and other friends i made this week to do it right beside me. i was beyond honored to be selected by my counselor and JC to be our outstanding group member and i will carry what i’ve gained with me into the school year. until next year lys!!#clownfishforever
