A full day in the water, some healthy competition, and a damn good reason to show up.

Proud to support The Honor Foundation for putting on an event that brings the SOF community together.

The mission behind it matters just as much. Helping Special Operations veterans carry the leadership, discipline, and experience they built in service into whatever comes next.

What a great weekend in San Diego attending The Honor Foundation Special Operations Force (THF SOF) swim.

The non profit that Charity and I volunteer with the Marine Reconnaissance Foundation was invited to participate and field a team of athletes to compete in this annual 3.3 mile swim across San Diego Bay from Coronado to the USS MIDWAY.

It was a great event that brought current and former Special Operations personnel from all branches and citizen volunteers together for a great cause.

It was awesome see old friends and meet new ones from across the Joint Force.

Our Marines represented the Marine Corps and the Reconnaissance community very well and we are proud of them!

I know life goes on… the morning rush, back to school nights, soccer, field hockey, football, and endless to do lists.

I don’t expect everything to stop.

I only ask that you take a brief moment to pause and reflect.

Set your alarms.

In the midst of the morning chaos, take a few moments to remember the brothers, police officers, and all the souls taken from us 25 years ago…lives forever etched in our hearts.

Let’s not let “𝙉𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙩” be forgotten.

Chris and I had an amazing time once again at the 2026 @tornwarriors Sniper Golf Invitational. I can’t say enough about this event, the organization and the group of Mil/LE members that showed up to compete and share company. It was another humbling and grounding experience for me and I will keep coming back every year that I can. I highly recommend any current or retired Mil/LE get involved with this event next year. Huge thanks to @ttpoa for sending us out and to all of the companies that support the event. The unpredictable winds gave us some unique challenges, but Chris and I were able to take 1st place in both portions of the match.

Major Douglas “The Lion of Fallujah” Zembiec left behind a blueprint for how to live.

His message is timeless: believe in something bigger than yourself. Lead with conviction. Accept responsibility for your actions. Never ask others to do what you won’t do yourself.

Read his words. Reflect on them. Then live them.
