POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

There’s something truly special about working in an all-Black cast. 🖤

The joy, the understanding, the shared experiences, the freedom to simply exist and create without having to explain yourself. There’s a sense of community that’s difficult to put into words.

To see so many different shades, stories, backgrounds and talents sharing the same space — celebrating each other, challenging each other and creating something together — is beautiful.

I’m grateful to be surrounded by this kind of energy, and I hope we continue to see more spaces where Black artists are given the freedom to tell stories, take up space and shine. 🖤✨

Dear Ms Turner…

Telling your story gave me an opportunity to grow in ways I could have never imagined… It was my first time being a Swing and Assistant dance captain and BOY was it a ride! From the MANY different Nutbush wigs to the 7/6 tracks (yeah you read that right🤣) I have memories and friendships that’ll last a lifetime. Your resilience and strength was a constant reminder for me to not stop pushing and that no matter the circumstance I WILL always come out on top SMILING because I deserve to. It’s been sad being away from such an incredible story but you will always be in my heart.

Love,

LoLo 💕

After 16 months touring the UK & a trip to Switzerland, I’m finally saying goodbye to Tina.

22 cities, too many show watches, and my first time swinging. Getting to watch and be part of this show has been such a privilege and I’ll be forever grateful for this experience. Big thanks for the laughs, the lessons, and the people who made it all worth it ✨
