Friday night was a rollercoaster! We were all setup and ready to go for our 2024 Community Christmas Picnic. The Orchestra were set, the food was hot, the kids were dancing, the stocking were hung. Then the rain came. Everyone held on and we were ready to continue but the grinch had other ideas knocking out the power to half of town and knocking out our sound system, power to food vans and ultimately bringing the carols to an end.

Thank you to everyone who tried their best from the Orchestra and carollers led by Monica Sketcher to the sound guys, Mansfield Radio, food vans, entertainers, staff and all those in attendance. Spirits remained high throughout the night which is a testament to our wonderful people and community who laughed and smiled through it all.

Good news is – we are going to try again! This Friday 13 December in front of the Christmas Tree on the High Street. Our amazing MAD Orchestra and Choir will be performing from 6.00pm – 8pm and we will have special big red visitor from 6.45pm – 7.15pm. So come down for round two of the Mansfield Community Christmas Picnic!

🎄 | ABOUT LAST NIGHT | 🎄

🎅 We tried and tried but eventually it was no power that took us out. Huge thanks to all who participated from the choir, orchestra, events and sound team, food and drinks and entertainment. Spirits remained high and smiles were abundant which really highlighted the Mansfield community spirit.

🎶 Stay tuned as we try and squeeze in a special carols night before Christmas is here.

GREAT VICTORIAN BIKE RIDE - MANSFIELD REST DAY

The vibes were high, the rain stayed away and the riders got to dry out, sample Mansfield’s amazing hospitality, soak in the rivers and enjoy our beautiful town.

A wonderful network of shuttles from @mansfieldbushwalks @amblingalong_highcountry @locals_day_out @dbalpine and Fallons made sure they could get around the whole town and out to Jamieson.

A huge shoutout to all those who turned it on to show how amazing our shire is! The home of High Country events.

See you next time! 🚲 ❤️

What an absolute pleasure to host the rest day for the @bicycle_network @great_vic_bike_ride. After three days of rain leading into today we ensured sunshine was available today 🌞 The town was abuzz with such positive vibes from Wednesday night and all through today. You came, ate, drank, rested, did lots of washing and for some reason some of you went bike riding! Best of luck on the rest of the trip and ride safe tomorrow, was great having you 😀🚲 see you when you come back

2024 HIGH COUNTRY FESTIVAL

Loads of fun, food, drinks and vibes for the opening night of this years High Country Festival. A line up of local talent on the @_mansfieldshireyouth_ Rock Out stage kept us entertained throughout the night and the always amazing torchlight parade and fireworks rounded out the night.
