My 💭:
[6/4/26 8.27 PM] 🏅
@clockworkchapters finally I read this book! A big hug to you for recommending me this book almost a year ago 🩷
This was such a beautiful and emotional read 🤍 The story follows Iris as she tries to hold her life together while chasing her dream of becoming a writer, all against the backdrop of a war between gods. What really stood out to me was the quiet intensity of her journey - dealing with loss, uncertainty, and loneliness, yet still holding on to hope. The magical element of letters finding their way to an unexpected person adds such a unique and heartfelt touch to the story.
I also loved the dynamic between Iris and Roman. What starts as rivalry slowly turns into something much deeper, and their connection through letters feels intimate and genuine. It’s not just a romance - it’s about finding comfort and understanding in the middle of chaos. Overall, this felt like a soft yet powerful story about love, resilience, and the magic of words ✨
I'm reading romantasy after so long that I almost forgot how much safe I feel reading it. Yes, the beginning felt a bit slow but omg it grew on me so beautifully. Dark academia vibes might be my new favourite reading aesthetic. Right now, after finishing the book, I am realising the long buried reason why I love fiction and slowburns and romantasy and rivals to lovers. Not because it's an escape or that I am learning something profound - but because I enjoy it and love it and it's my home - MINE - untouched by other people. And I am never leaving my home ever again. 🌌
Q - if you had a magical typewriter that could deliver your message to anyone at any time, who would you write to?

My 💭:

Omg I cannot believe that I finished a book (let alone post a review) after more than 2 weeks 🙊! I'll come to the whys and whatnots later. First, let me gush about this book.
A biiiiiggg virtual hug to @clockworkchapters for encouraging me to pick up this book ASAP amidst my moody spiral thoughts. Thank you thank you thank you Priya 🫶🏻✨
Some demons are angels in disguise. This book is one such example. I have been waiting for this book since March after reading Limerence. Like omg the epic ending of that book left me with my mouth hanging open! I knew, I just knew that these characters will stay with me forever. For the first time, in a long long while, two fictonal characters saved me from sinking. And for that, I cannot thank the author enough for creating such mind-bending characters!
Adrian Eilis. I never thought that he would turn out to be THIS person. Well yes, I know exactly what he is from the first book but in Redamancy, it's like getting to know him over again. Since the events of this story take place 10 years later, so it was adult Adrian who got introduced to me. I thought surely surely he has matured on some fronts (iykyk), but the moment we meet him in that hospital event, I knew it's the same old him. But there are many new shades to him, shades that reminded me of my first love - Edward. Like OMGGG!!That eve teasing scene brought me back to class 9 days when I fell in love with Edward for the first time. Except one huge difference, Edward is capable of feeling positive human emotions, Adrian isn't, for anyone. Except one brilliant exception - Poppy.
Oh Poppy! You were such a life saver to me! Tbh, you still are and always will be. Your personality, independence, self preservation - everything inspires me. Honestly, guys, she's like the epitome of grit and resilience. (Contd ⬇️)
