BFC/GQ Designer Fashion Fund 2026 Shortlist

The British Fashion Council has announced the shortlisted designers for the 2026 BFC/GQ Designer Fashion Fund, continuing its mission to spotlight and accelerate the next generation of British talent. Established in 2013, the fund has become a key pillar in supporting designer businesses, offering not just recognition but real infrastructure for growth. This year’s winner will receive a £100,000 grant alongside a year-long mentorship with an industry leader, pro-bono legal support from Sheridans, and access to a network of specialist advisors.

The 2026 shortlist — CLOTHSURGEON, DERRICK, HARRI, and LABRUM LONDON, reflects a diverse and forward-thinking vision of menswear today.

The announcement arrives alongside the launch of BFC 2030: Access, Creativity, Growth, a new strategic direction under Chief Executive Laura Weir. Moving beyond traditional promotion, the strategy places emphasis on sustained, tangible support, prioritising long-term investment, mentorship, and commercial resilience. As Weir notes, “Each year, the BFC/GQ Designer Fashion Fund highlights the strength of British menswear… these designers represent the creative excellence that defines British fashion today.” With a renewed focus on building future-facing businesses.
