Finally getting around to sharing more from the residency at Fieldwork. We fired the Anagama for over 120 hours and it took so much perseverance and energy from the whole group! Wood kilns can be tricky things, with so many variables impacting the outcome of a firing. It felt like a big learning experience for everyone involved firing a kiln that they weren’t familiar with!

Big thanks to @gungepizza3 for the kiln cleansing and blessing before we lit the kiln. As well as the banner to watch over the firing

The residency was the first of its kind at Fieldwork. It was an incredibly beautiful and challenging time. Some lows and many highs, together with the most supportive group of people, whom I grew very fond of.

I learnt so much through this experience, it was a chance for me to step outside my comfort zone and I am always so grateful for @johndixstudio and @sofieneuendorf for their guidance and confidence.

I must also add… dosenbo is a very deceiving clay body 😂

One is for “A Bump in the Night” group show at @paradigmgs and the other is for “Growth” at @cloud9clay 🌱🪴 I am very honored to be invited to these two shows and looking forward to going to both openings….you should too! BRAMBLE STOOL

Every season of growth comes with its growing pains. “Bramble” is a spiky stool that explores the beauty found within the discomfort of becoming. Its thorns speak to the challenges that shape us, and serve as a reminder that growth is not always gentle. Through change we learn to adapt, to protect what makes us individual, and to grow into ourselves.

Watch these bunnies dance at the show at @cloud9clay <3 scroll to see the show details!
