When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Today was the first time taping five episodes for @bettertogethertv for me. What a wonderful experience with talented and warm staff, really fun and wise Bible teachers, and the best women who helped with makeup and hair!! Incredibly grateful.

I’ll let you know when the weeklong shows air!

ABOUT LAST NIGHT ✨

This bunch of beautiful humans lit up my life for two whole days this week. I’m so sad that our time together at @lashaffairacademy is over this time around, but our Volume Certification class with @jenelleparis was nothing short of mind blowing 🤯🥳🥰 @lashaffairstudios is becoming my favorite place to be. Jenelle and her team make it seem effortless, but they put so much hard work and care into the experiences they create for Lash Artists and Lash Clients alike. I’m so lucky to feel like they are all my lash family. @lashaffairstudios functions beautifully because they are a team and a damn great one at that! My friend @blossomedposies and I have been on this training journey together since August and it is a great feeling to be able to connect with Lash Artists across the country who share the same passion for lashin’ 🤗 and learn/spend time together … bonding like lash adhesive 😂😁

The @lashaffairbyjp trainings are beyond thorough. I have taken other trainings with other companies, paid a lot of money, walked away with no guide book to refer back to, no ongoing support, no one on one tweaking of my craft even during a training. All of those boxes that were left unchecked elsewhere have been repeated with @lashaffairbyjp until I’ve got the info under my belt with full comprehension or fine tuning of the technique I’m trying to achieve. That isn’t just limited to in person trainings.

I look forward to growing as a lash artist, hopefully an educator one day, and a person with all the support I get from TEAM @lashaffairbyjp you guys are the best 🥰😍🥲 like Biggie said “it was all a dream” … feels like it but lucky enough it wasn’t ❤️ and “if you don’t know, now you know” 😂

Lashing isn’t just about applying extensions on to the natural lash and going on about your day.

Lashing has more meaning than just that…. What about new products, product knowledge, eye disease/infections, perfect tweezers, silk/ mink lash extensions, adhesive, humidity, length, diameter, lash health, humidifiers, dehumidifier, eye shape, mapping, taping, and the list goes on…Point being…
🚨Education never stops🚨
Yes I have already taken a volume course but that doesn’t mean I can’t take another one. I learned new tricks for better retention and found an amazing lash wash with tea tree (which smells amazing).

I was so happy when I got the call by @jenelleparis… CEO of @lashaffairbyjp “are you available on Monday & Tuesday for the volume lash course?” All I could think of was, “HECK YEA!”

To say the least… What an experience/opportunity for growth, my lash family keeps expanding, and the energy was everything ✨

I can’t wait to practice and show you all what we learned 🤍✌🏼

Happy first day of autumn 🍂! ⁣
Fall is my favorite season. Celebrating in the midst of a heavy heart over so much loss this calendar year. Learning to hold both the hard and the good in tension. ⁣
⁣
• Had my first #PSL from my favorite @starbucks580 (thank you @sharonhmiller for the fabulous tip last year of adding white mocha pumps to the pumpkin spice latte 😍)⁣
• Got my lashes done @cloudbeautystudio (Rachel is the BEST! Highly recommend!)⁣
• new gold hoop earring inspired by @michelleobama and heartily approved by daughter, Julia ❤️⁣
• currently wearing on repeat this necklace from @dearheartco called Refined (very meaningful. Goes with everything 💕)⁣
• blown away by the generosity and thoughtfulness of IF:LOZ sister, @mrsinstafowler who whipped up my new favorite T-shirt (yeah Little Blue Bird home business!!)⁣
• breakfast for dinner (our every first day of a new season tradition). Pumpkin waffles 🧇 ⁣
• bought a new fall “welcome” decoration with hopes of eventually welcoming friends to our home again and hosting parties and gatherings⁣
