POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Phew! After a few weird market weekends in a row, yesterday's @merchants.and.makers Artprize Market was exactly what I needed to feel back on track 💛

Two favorite things:

1) I didn't have much time to meander and visit other stalls, but I was lucky enough to meet @variegatedblooms and @cloudkbd_art and buy some gorgeous art for my office! I hope y'all check them out because not only is their art amazing, so are they!

2) I introduced a new necklace style, only making 5 because they're quite time consuming, and I sold ALL OF THEM almost within the first hour or two! 🤯

I am so incredibly grateful, and honestly blown away, with the love someone has for a piece I put so much love and soul into 💛

Thanks for an amazing day!

Street Markets 🛍️⤵️

Who doesn't love a good Street Market?!

📍@merchants.and.makers
📅 Saturday, October 6th - the last one with ArtPrize this year!

I had the absolute joy of going up to Grand Rapids for ArtPrize last weekend and while there, I found that the Merchants & Makers Street Market was in full swing!

🍃 Over 160+ vendors
🍂 Live music throughout the streets
🍃 Food trucks and tents
🍂 Stunning art throughout the area
🍃 Relaxed atmosphere

I had to restrain myself from buying too many things but I did get some beautiful leather work accessories, a puzzle, and some new pottery!

It's truly an all day event with something for everyone. I'm looking forward to attending again!

Last night was the ArtPrize opening reception for the artists hosted by Cellar Bird Books, and I’m still carrying around all of the warmth from such a beautiful evening.

The Luthier’s Lost Library has officially made its ArtPrize debut and somehow, it has been given the entire front window of Cellar Bird Books. Seeing the piece there, surrounded by books and tucked into a space already so full of stories, feels almost too perfect. A forgotten library of books, flowers, driftwood, and a violin could hardly have asked for a better place to land.

During the reception, we had the opportunity to meet the other artists hosted by Cellar Bird, share a little about our work and the inspiration behind it, and answer questions from those who came to celebrate with us. There is something incredibly special about getting to speak about a piece you’ve spent so much time imagining and building, and then watching someone else stop, look closely, and find something in it that speaks to them.

More than anything, I am incredibly grateful to Lea and Cellar Bird Books. Of all the places my work could have found a home during ArtPrize, I truly don’t think there could have been one that understood or appreciated what I create more than this one. Lea is one of the kindest people I know, and she has an extraordinary way of making each of the artists she selected feel not simply hosted, but genuinely celebrated. The care she has shown our work (and us) has meant more than I can adequately put into words.

I feel very, very lucky. And very, very grateful.

So, if you’re in Grand Rapids or planning an ArtPrize wander, I would love for you to stop by Cellar Bird Books and visit The Luthier’s Lost Library in the front window. Take a close look. Find all the little details. Peek through the flowers and the pages and see what you discover.

And then, of course, go inside.

Though I should warn you: visiting my artwork is free. Convincing yourself that you do not need to buy half of Lea’s beautiful bookstore may prove considerably more difficult.

Thank you, Cellar Bird Books, for giving my strange little lost library such a beautiful place to be found.

🩵💜💖Matsuricon Weekend Recap!💖💜🩵

Oh my goodness, this was such a busy and fun weekend. It was my first time vending at Matsuricon with my pottery and I was blown away at all the love for my spooky pots. I met so many cool people and nerded out all weekend.

I also had so much fun playing the ribbon game, sharing the goofy ribbons I designed, and seeing everyone's collections (though I only managed to snag a couple photos/videos of a few ribbon hauls).

The only tiny snafu was my breakfast betraying me on Saturday 🥲 but con staff and my booth neighbor @authentically_elyse (who I cannot thank enough) were amazing and watched my booth when I had to run off.

Thank you so much to the amazing staff, volunteers, and lovely fellow vendors I got to talk to and get art from this weekend! Hope to see you all next year 🤞

Here's my booth set-up from Friday! I was so tired on Sunday that I forgot to take an after con video or photo but just imagine there were less pots 😅 I'm so happy that so many pots went to new homes and grateful for everyone that picked something up or stopped to chat.

I didn't get to leave my booth too much, but I did manage to get a couple things from the Artist Alley and Night Market. I tagged all the creators in each photo!

I ended up unintentionally starting a pattern with the ribbons I added to my vendor badge, so I stuck with it. I have a small stash of other fun ribbons that I plan on sticking to future badges or just keeping them in my collection for fun 🥹

Also snagged a witchy lanyard from Clover Puff Art for future use 🧙‍♀️

I wish I had remembered to get more photos of all the massive ribbon collections but I managed to capture a couple on Sunday! Someone had a whole ribbon skirt that I'm kicking myself for not snagging a photo of 😅

These lovely people let me take videos of their weekend ribbon collections and my "Hell is Real" ribbon was definitely the most chosen out of the 3 ribbon designs I made. 😂

Also had to include this goofy and wonderful human who walks around Matsuricon with "billboards" for people to add cards, stickers, doodles, and such to prom

A super belated @grzinefest haul!! I always wish I had an unlimited budget to buy something from every table — it’s no exaggeration to say how truly blown away every year by everyone’s creativity and authenticity. GRZF is such a labor of love, and it means the world to me that so many people have a good time at the fest. It was such a pleasure to meet new zinesters and see old friends!!! 🥹💕 Keep making zines! 🔥 (I’m at the max tag limit in this post — if I missed tagging your work, let me know, and I can add it in a comment!)
