Had a great turnout and great collaboration with @clt_boxing this past weekend as we invited them over for a insider’s workout alongside some of our amateurs as they prepare for our very own @firstbellfest event taking place on Saturday September 26 , hosted and put together by @dymeboxer. It was a pleasure working with uncc as we went over fundamentals, reaction drills and decision making while being in the ring. Now it is too late to register to fight but it’s never too late to get a ticket to come out and support 🥊❤️

Had my first ever boxing match last Saturday.

Took it on 8 hours notice. He had 7 fights and was turning pro, I had none. He fought in 8 oz gloves, I was in 16s. The ref kept trying to nerf me, while i was getting hit just as hard. I was also fasting for Ramadan. On paper this was a reckless decision, odds were stacked against me. But it was the brave choice.

I showed up and fought my heart out. I and many others (even his coach) believe I outboxed him all 4 rounds. However in the end, the decision went to the crowd rather than judges. He had more fans and ultimately won the fight.

Robbery? Maybe. But Allah is the best of planners. Glad I took risk.
