A little advice from the people who’ve been there before 💚

We asked our Teaching Fellows mentors to share what they’ve learned along the way — from getting involved on campus and making the most of your major to navigating field experiences, student teaching, and finding balance.

Swipe through for a few things they wish they knew sooner!

Summer may be here now, but any educator knows that summertime is fleeting - so we're planning now for our fall signature conference, Teacher 2 Teacher!

We're accepting proposals through July 1 for all strands listed from both experienced and new presenters. T2T is a great environment to build your presentation resume and share your expertise - even newer teachers have wisdom to share with peers!

Visit tinyurl.com/T2Tproposal (it's in our bio links too!) for more info or to submit. We can't wait to see what you'll bring to the table!

When you get to college, a little voice is going to tell you that you should actually be an education major… it’s very important you listen to that voice (that sounds an awful lot like Grandma…)

Lindsay Blalock may not have known she’d become a teacher when she first came to Charlotte, but her professors knew from the first day she stepped into a classroom. Read more about her story at the link in our bio!

From making hype songs about their journey to become teachers to hearing earnest advice from current students, from seeing lesson plan demos to meeting their potential professors, we’d say our future teachers got a lot out of 49er Teach Day!

Tag your friends or your schools in the comments if you see them - we can’t wait to see all of you as #EduNiners 💚🤙

We may be rivals on the field, but when it comes down to it, we're all working together for the same thing.

🤝 Together in the 2024-2025 school year, Cato College and Reich College prepared over 1,300 teachers for licensure in both undergraduate and graduate programs.
🏫 We both host most of the best pathways to becoming a teacher, administrator, or counselor that our state has to offer, with fellowships, scholarships, forgivable loan programs, and more.
💡 We both have oodles of resources for educators in our communities, like professional honor societies, long-lasting support structures like instructional coaches, and prep tools to help candidates pass all types of licensure exams.

We'll celebrate these achievements and more at the @dukesmayobowl Classic on August 29 - better see you there!
