We don't know what we're doing!! Well, I don't 😂
·
I've been convincing myself, a lot, that social media is the way forward for a successful and fulfilling creative career. I've read, watched and listened for a couple of years on the subject and I realised not too long ago, it's not! None of us actually know what we're doing on it. Like I mentioned yesterday, the platforms are just tools, just like the big bits of plastic and metal I use to create everything. Social media is perfect for showcasing what we do, but it's also a right ballache if you skip steps and aim for the numbers. That's what I've been doing. That's what the majority are doing. ·
So I'm going to try and switch it up a bit. Aim for personal growth, not social media growth, utilise social media for personal growth but ultimately it's all about documenting the growth... Get me?! The perfected portfolio goes, the process comes in. That's what this page will focus on more.
·
This last month I've had the absolute pleasure of meeting people such as @juliacrosspr @croftschocolates @scottperrymagic tas @clubit and @ojwil. I've created and will be creating work with these guys and more, banging 'the social media' drum. But, for the right reasons, not the numbers! ·
