The opposite position is LOADED. 👀

We’re putting 10 must-know opposites on your radar, including some established standouts and some younger players who are just getting started but already have us paying attention.

Different classes. Different games. Same question: do you know these names yet? 👀

Arizona sits #24 in the VolleyLens girls state rankings, led by Arizona Storm Elite, but the summer’s biggest statement came from AZ Sky 17 Gold — a 17 Open Final Four finish at USAV Nationals. 🌵🏐

HIP LABRAL REPAIR REHAB 🏐🔥 | LATE-EARLY PHASE

College beach volleyball = high demand on the hip.
So rehab has to prepare the hip for more than just “feeling better.”

At this stage, we’re continuing to restore comfortable hip IR + ER, while building stability and control around that newly available motion.

➡️ Open-chain → loaded closed-chain
We’re progressively challenging the hip to control rotation while the body is actually moving and producing force.

➡️ Deeper squatting
We’re gradually increasing depth while teaching the athlete to utilize the quads, glutes, adductors and posterior chain to control the position.

➡️ Dynamic trunk control
Single-leg Statue of Liberty variations challenge balance, hip control and the trunk’s ability to stay organized while the lower extremity moves.

➡️ Traditional core control
Side plank + pike variations add another layer of trunk stability while challenging the hip and shoulder complex.

➡️ Quad + posterior chain strength
We’re not forgetting the basics. Strong quads matter.
But so do the glutes, hamstrings and hip external rotators.

Reverse wall clams + single-leg bridges with hip abduction are just two ways we’re targeting those critical muscle groups.

The goal isn’t simply to regain ROM.

The goal is to make that ROM strong, stable and usable.

Because the posterior chain and hip rotators play an important role in controlling the femur and helping the athlete produce and absorb force efficiently.

Beach volleyball demands strength + mobility + stability + rotation + control.

That’s what we’re building. 🏐💪

Rehab isn’t about rushing the next phase.
It’s about earning it.
