The First Day of Spring by Nancy Tucker - 5 ☀️

WOW. What a book. I’m so glad I finally read this!!

I get a majority of book recommendations from my mom @cm7161. Last year there were two books that she implored me to read: 1) The Good Sister and 2) this. I knew this would be a wild ride from the opening line: “I killed a little boy today.” I MEAN 🤯🤯🤯

The storyline was so gripping with writing that chilled me to the bone, and I loved the two parallel timelines. It really helped me understand Chrissie’s character. And that said - CHRISSIE. She is a main character I won’t forget anytime soon. My heart broke over and over for her.

If you’re looking for a character driven story with some light among the intense darkness, you absolutely must read this book!!!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. @jessbythebook opened up to the Bookstagram community in such a strong yet vulnerable way, which I respect and admire to the fullest. Thank you for sharing your story and challenging the community to be aware of our bodies by doing self exams!

Sometimes I take pictures and get ready to post and think, will anyone care? Seems like I lose followers here on the daily and I’m honestly not sure why. But I love sharing with and inspiring whoever might be out there watching, reading or listening. So I guess that means something right? I don’t ever expect to have 100k followers.
