Hey all:

It is the time of year when I begin to reflect on the death of my mom but not only the sadness of it, but also the joy she brought to me and so many while she was here.

Mom started a simple program that evolved both during her life and after; helping provide respite for literally thousands of homeless or at-risk people in the St. Louis region over the years. She did it because she saw a need, and it was the right thing to do.

Her efforts started with simple coffee and day-old pastries, and evolved into a weekly breakfast that fed on average more than 100/per week. It was supported by amazing family & friends in at Christ Church Cathedral and Emmanuel Episcopal Church-Webster Groves like Kelsey Mitchell Hogarty, Martha Knight Mitchell, Mary Jane Moxley Kuhn along with countless others.

With the pandemic and other changes, these efforts were put on hold for a bit, as everyone involved took time to re-imagine how we could continue to help in a sustainable, safe, and scalable way.

Thanks to the hard work and imagination of my family (Shout out to Breanne Bledsoe McClintock for her leadership), this year we are evolving our efforts to help homeless or at risk families & individuals in the St. Louis region, in honor of my Mom.

In collaboration with Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Service we are kicking off an effort to support homeless & at-risk families & individuals in St. Charles, Warren & Lincoln Counties in Missouri. This focused effort serves more than 3000 people annually with needed support such as housing support, street outreach, family & child development support, and both food truck & shoppable pantry food programs. They provide their services to all of God's people who need it.

Today, I'm writing to ask for your support of this effort, in memory of my Mom, and for your continued prayers & actions to help those who are trying to break this cycle of homelessness either within the St. Louis region, or wherever this note finds you today. You may donate to the effort via the QR code in the flyer below.
And... as someone once said... watch this space for more to come.

Peace & Blessings to you & your families this holiday season.
