Early mornings, long days, lots of coffee, and making someone smile. That’s just a taste of what it takes to do an event like this!

We appreciate @ozarkeurorally for giving us a spot to serve coffee and to connect with other car enthusiasts!

I didn’t log into the gram at all during July, and that was a good decision. Not that social media is innately “bad,” but it does have a tendency to produce things in my heart that aren’t helpful or healthy, to exacerbate my tendencies toward discontent, and reduce the amount of time I spend in thankfulness. I have a good life. And social media doesn’t need to ruin it. The fact is, I have a choice in the matter, in how I use it (and how much I use it), and whether or not I get caught up in this app that’s been designed to suck away my time — my life. The fact is, I have seen good things come from it. I’ve made dear friends through this app. And so I know it isn’t all bad.

It doesn’t need to be about unhealthy and unproductive comparison. It shouldn’t be a website I leave feeling worse about myself and my ability to create. It should be a place (though it isn’t really a place) where I feel inspired, and challenged. It should be a tool for good. But for that to be true, I have to choose to use it in such a way.

This particular image was inspired by Leyf Sanford, and made possible by Cip Micula. (The most gracious classic car owner I know.) It was part of a fun experience, and I’m grateful for it.

#Ad // Another fantastic Tastemakers event put on by The Momentary. Loved hearing about Andrea’s journey within the coffee world, while she shared with us the ups, as well as the downs. It’s pretty amazing how far Onyx Coffee has gone and it all started right here in Northwest Arkansas. Truly a very inspirational event for all that attended.

A 4 course Sunday Brunch was included, as well as 5 different drinks. Some of which you can order at Onyx and Well Met Cafe. Let’s just say we were all jittery by the end of the event 😵‍💫 Between courses we watched clips from Andrea’s documentary, The Road to Milan. It documents her journey to the World Barista Championships in Milan Italy at the end of 2021. Very interesting and I hope it’s available to stream one day. I’ll keep yall updated!

Overall, I highly recommend everyone to attend a Tastemakers event. They are always fun and you leave learning a few new things. Best of all, you get fed some tasty food. Thank you Andrea and everyone involved to make this event a success. Looking forward to the next one! #CBMOAmbassador
