POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Palisades Park Elementary is incredibly proud to celebrate one of our own Panthers, Connor McGuire, who represented our school at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Board of Education Meeting!👏

Connor had the special honor of leading the Pledge of Allegiance and sharing his thoughts on Citizenship before the meeting was called to order. A proud member of Ms. King’s 5th-grade class, Connor exemplifies our R.O.A.R. qualities each and every day through his kindness, leadership, and commitment to being a good citizen.

As a Blue Snow Leopard, Connor enjoys Science Lab with Ms. Luckey, fishing, and spending time with his family. We are so proud of Connor for sharing his positive light and representing Palisades Park Elementary with Panther Pride!🐾

Way to ROAR, Connor! 💙🐾

I’m so excited to announce that I’m running for the 2027 CMS Board of Education Student Advisor!!

Through my involvement in student government, clubs, athletics, and community service, I’ve learned how important it is for students to have a voice. I want to make sure every CMS student feels heard, represented, and included in the decisions that affect us!

I would be so grateful for your support throughout this campaign!!

Voting is open October 19 – November 3 for ALL CMS students in grades 9–12!

📚💜 Nothing like ending the week surrounded by BOOKS!

I was able to work the early morning shift on the final day of the @highlandcreekpta Book Fair and got to see one of my favorite readers! 📖🥰

Shoutout to the PTA, volunteers, educators, and families who make moments like these possible. Book fairs are about more than buying books. They’re about helping children discover stories, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of reading while buying squishees and pencils that don’t fit in pencil cases 🤣📚✨ ✏️

Here’s your reminder to keep reading with your kids, let them choose books that excite them, and make reading FUN! 💜

The vote was 4-4. Commissioner Arthur Griffin made a motion to have CMS send financial information to the board regarding misuse of funds- half of his colleagues didn’t agree - they say investigations are already happening involving the school district so no need to interfere. #CMSInvestigation #MeckCoComm #wbtv #accountability

There’s something special about seeing a school community celebrate something built for its students. 🏟️ 💙 ❤️

I loved joining the @northmeck_cms community to celebrate the opening of its new athletic stadium!

🎶 The band brought the energy.
🇺🇸 JROTC helped mark the moment with the flag.
🏟️ And students, families, staff, alumni, and community members came together to celebrate a new home for Viking athletics.

Congratulations, North Meck! Here’s to all the Friday nights, performances, victories, milestones, and memories still to come. 🏈🥁📣

Go Vikings! ⚔️
