Incase you missed CMU's first ever drone light show, here are some highlights.

We had a fantastic turn out as a crowd of CMU students, faculty, alumni and local residents watched the drone show!

S.E.T & S.C.J.M worked hard since last summer when they started fleet tests. We have had support from the drone club (DARRE) and the robotics club (ARE).

The first-ever workshop of its kind in coordination between Central Michigan University’s Photojournalism program in the School of Communication, Journalism & Media and Central Michigan Life’s Student Media Board of Directors. This is our first installment of a sports photojournalism workshop, and we hope to build on it for future sessions as well. Big shout out to @jakemayphoto and our friends for helping to bring this to fruition.

“ACTION”

Over the course of my final spring semester at CMU, I wrote a feature-length screenplay titled “Pleasant”.

The story follows a college student named Henry on a one-night quest home through the bizarre nightlife of Mount Pleasant, Michigan.

Enter Phil Sgriccia, a CMU alum and executive producer of shows like “Supernatural” and “The Boys”.

For his hands-on workshop, Phil selected a scene from “Pleasant”to bring to life.

Attending the workshop with me was some of CMU’s finest media students, who came together to form a more driven, talented, and dedicated crew than I could ever hope for.

Over the course of one insane, sleepless week, we shot the scene.

Thank you to Phil, the crew, @cmu_scjm , East Market, and the CMU faculty who made this possible. It was an honor to work alongside all of you.

I can’t express enough gratitude for this opportunity, and for the chance to watch a dream come true right before my eyes.

Oh, and go follow @pleasant.movie for coming updates on the project!
