中山 Penthouse — 2026

A four-story penthouse quietly shaped by the five elements of Chinese philosophy Wuxing 五行 – metal 金, wood 木, water 水, fire 火, earth 土.

At the heart, a 10-seater conversation pit with 3.2 meter tall (!) window, both the spiritual ‘fire 火’ for convening and a space to bath in the literal heat of the sun. A concrete plinth ‘earth 土,’ 3 steps high, creates thickness and anticipates a planter for a future tree ‘wood 木.’ A central steel staircase ‘metal 金’ spans four floors and connects to an aquarium ‘water 水’ above.
