Muckstepper twins coaching together: @sjpii.football

• @lonzosk - Alonzo McClain Jr. (SJPII cornerbacks coach)
• @phonzosk - Alphonso McClain (SJPII safeties coach)

They are both from Belle Glade, born and raised. They are also the older brothers of Markwan Griffiths ( @theyfw_kwan ) and Markiis Griffiths ( @2.stackzz_ ), who are both Somerset Academy Canyons alums. They are now coaching at St. John Paul II under the leadership of head coach Gad Jacobs ( @real_coach_gad ).

The McClain twins shared their coaching experiences and how it’s working out for them. They also shared their insights of the Muck and how our area can be great again.

God is Awesome: @sjpii.football

Julian Ayala (‘27 QB; 6-foot-3, 185 pounds) landed in the best spot with Head Coach Gad Jacobs ( @real_coach_gad ) at St. John Paul II. With a very supportive group of teammates and friends who share the same common goal - winning with a sharply focused underdog mentality - Juju is looking to greatly improve on his overall production from this past season.

Ayala finished his junior year at Palm Beach Lakes with the following stats per @maxpreps :

•137-of-236 passing; 58.1 completion percentage
•1,699 passing yards
•13 touchdown passes
•7 interceptions
•86.5 QB Rating

10 games played

Here’s hoping that Juju will have his best season ever under the leadership of Coach Gad! 🙏

Something great is brewing: @sjpii.football

@besttodoitq - Stephen Yiadom (‘27 RB)
@real_coach_gad - SJPII Head Coach Gad Jacobs
@champ_cocuzzo - Champ Cocuzzo (‘28 WR)

A new era has begun with the St. John Paul II Eagles. While we don’t know how this season will ultimately unfold, the aura and vibes are pointing to much success with a program that is led by first-year head coach Gad Jacobs, who has been a head coach before at Village Academy and was most recently the defensive coordinator at St. Andrews.

Jacobs has this ‘26 Eagles team in great spirits, with both Stephen and Champ expecting to have great seasons in their own rights.

Hear the entire interview clip for their outlook on this upcoming season and more.

Look at this: @sjpii.football

@real_coach_gad has a potentially great ‘27 running back in Stephen Yiadom ( @besttodoitq ). The 5-foot-9, 200-pound bruiser is a transfer from Olympic Heights and looks to improve on his junior season that ended with the following stats:

•34 carries, 351 yards, 5 rushing touchdowns in 9 games played - per @maxpreps

Coach Gad has something special in his arsenal on offense. We are excited to see how Yiadom’s senior season unfolds at SJPII.

Compare and contrast: @sjpii.football

Newcomer Gianni Jones (‘27 RB) recently transferred from Bordentown (N.J.) to St. John Paul II (Boca Raton, Fla.). He shared the inspiration behind his move.

SJPII head coach Gad Jacobs ( @real_coach_gad ) is someone who Jones (6-foot-1, 200 lbs.) looks up to in more ways than one. He is looking to greatly improve on his junior season, which ended with the following stats in Bordentown (N.J.):

•16 carries, 125 yards in 3 games played - per @maxpreps

We will be watching closely to see how Jones will excel with Coach Gad at SJPII.

Follow the leader: @sjpii.football

St. John Paul II ‘27 ATH Sebi Rosado ( @srosado143 ) has proven to be the one that everyone on this team looks up to for leadership and guidance. If one comes out to the school at any time, you will immediately see what being a true leader looks like.

FULL STATS FROM LAST SEASON

•71 total tackles
•4 tackles for loss
•1 forced fumble
•2 fumble recoveries

9 games played as a junior at SJPII

Rosado (No. 62; @espntop63 ) is more than worthy of being viewed as one of Palm Beach County’s most slept on and most respected players. He has greatly improved in more ways than one from the time his junior season ended to now.

You will see for yourself this upcoming season as Rosado looks to have his best campaign as a senior at SJPII with Coach Gad.

Be the model: @sjpii.football

@real_coach_gad told all of his players at the end of today’s practice (Tuesday, August 11, 2026) to be at least 10 minutes early to start the first day of school, which is tomorrow (Wednesday, August 12, 2026). He is expecting everyone to be positive examples for the entire school body every single day.

No exceptions!

Practice ended with Eagles head coach Gad Jacobs setting clear and attainable expectations for the team, while showing true love in the process for them all by way of a closing prayer and more. 🙏
