POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Family, community, and basketball came together in a major way! Robert Taylor Johnson, widely known as Coach Chip and the founder of the Change the Narritive non-profit, pulled up to support his cousin, former NBA player and current Cleveland Cavaliers coach Omar Cook. The energy was unmatched, and the building was packed. The event featured highly anticipated guest appearances from Taj Gibson and Lenny Cooke. The absolute highlight of the night? A surprise pop-in from Cleveland’s head coach, Kenny Atkinson, which completely shocked Coach Cook! Thank you to everyone who came out to make this turnout so special.

Change Da Narritive founder Robert Taylor Johnson—better known to our kids as Coach Chip—being interviewed by Channel 12 News in Brooklyn.

Coach Chip took a moment to give flowers to his longtime childhood friend, Jay-Z, sharing what he has meant not only to him personally but to communities across the globe.

Proud to see one of our own representing, inspiring, and continuing to make an impact. 💙🌍

MARCY PROJECTS STAND THE FUCK UP !!!!

HIS BIRTHDAY IS HERE

street legend

hip-hop legend

sports legend

EXCELLENCE in EVERY sport, Confident, Talented, Intelligent, Fair, Assertive, But Still Hood As Fuck & Nothing To Play With LOL (Sounds Familiar ?)

My biggest supporter....

My first rhyme partner....

as you can tell in these early childhood pictures, I had and still have the coolest big brother in the world who is still revered as that...our relationship is very much like Charlie Murphy & Eddie Murphy...You think I got stories ? Shit...YALL NEED TO FOLLOW HIM OR PUT HIM ON YOUR SHOWS

Our many wild crazy adventures around the U.S as kids and as adults are the true testament of living life and life would not have been as fun growing up from our Celtics Vs Lakers wars to recording demos in our house to being the youngest dudes to rule the club scene on the west coast as well as being the SHIT in our high schools

and though I absolutely held my own in these Brooklyn streets, I still had the back up pure confidence that my big brother along with my older cousins would fuck anybody up if shit got too crazy or out of hand (reasons why LAW didnt have too many problems 😁)

and thanks to our incredible mission to keep our family’s legacy alive, it was me and him and our love for Hip-Hop that helped my grandfather get his royalties & publishing back thanks to all the rappers including his childhood friends Jay-Z & Ty-Ty that sampled B.T Express records he wrote and played on

Im screaming a mega dope Happy Birthday To My Older Brother ....The 1st Grandchild Of Our Legendary Grandfather Sam “Bluzman”Taylor

Confidence. Focus. Work ethic.

Every rep matters, and this young hooper continues to put in the work when nobody is watching. The shots may not always fall today, but the habits being built will pay off tomorrow.

They see the shot.
We see the hours.

The early mornings.
The extra reps.
The mistakes.
The lessons.
The growth.

Success isn’t built on game day—it’s built every day before it.

📈 One percent better every day.

🏀 1st Annual CDN Schools Out Tournament Recap 🏀

A huge THANK YOU to all the teams, players, parents, coaches, referees, fans, volunteers, and supporters who helped make our 1st Annual CDN Schools Out Tournament a success!

The weekend was filled with great competition, sportsmanship, learning experiences, and memories that our athletes will carry with them moving forward. None of this would be possible without the support of our basketball community.

📸 Here are just a few photos from an amazing weekend of hoops!

We are grateful for every team that traveled, competed, and represented their programs with pride. We look forward to continuing to grow this event and provide more opportunities for young athletes to develop both on and off the court.

A special thank you to University of Arizona student-athlete Jaysaun Smith @j4bleeda for taking time to speak with our youth athletes. Your words of encouragement, positivity, and guidance made a lasting impact. We appreciate you sharing your journey and helping inspire the next generation to dream big, stay disciplined, and continue working toward their goals.

🔥 Stay tuned for:
✅ More tournament photos and highlights
✅ Player spotlights
✅ Upcoming CDN events and tournament dates
✅ Summer basketball opportunities

Thank you for being a part of the CDN family and helping us continue to change the narrative through sports, mentorship, education, and community.

Change The Narrative is bigger than basketball. 🏀✨
This weekend was another powerful reminder of what this mission is truly about: pouring love, knowledge, guidance, and positive energy back into our community. We are giving kids a safe space to hoop, learn, grow, and be surrounded by a village that genuinely cares about them.
Beyond the baseline:
    • The Food & The Laughs: Everything was intentionally built to bring our people together.
    • The Unseen Heroes: A lot of people only see the highlights or the posts. They don’t see the coaches, parents, mentors, and volunteers giving their raw time and energy behind the scenes.
    • The Real Goal: We aren’t just building better basketball players. We are building better people by teaching confidence, leadership, as they build lifelong relationships, and real opportunities.
Thank you to everyone who came through, supported, cooked, organized, coached, and showed up.
The village matters. ❤️

TO BE ABLE AT ANY MOMENT, TO SACRIFICE WHO YOU ARE FOR WHT YOU WILL BECOME… @etthehiphoppreacher

100 posts later and here we are. Champions.

Development, Basketball IQ, Strength and Conditioning, Film. & so much more…

Not because it was promised. Not because it was easy. Because this group committed to the work. The early mornings, late nights, long drives, hard conversations, sacrifices at home, sacrifices financially, trusting coaches, trusting teammates, trusting the process.

The improvement shows. Not just in wins, but in confidence, discipline, toughness, and togetherness.

But this isn’t only about the players. Never was.

“Family” isn’t just a word on the back of our jerseys to us. It’s real.

It’s the parents making sacrifices behind the scenes. The friends supporting. The coaches giving their time. The people giving rides, meals, advice, energy, belief and love to these kids when they need it most.

This championship belongs to everybody who helped build this. Every person who believed in us before the results showed up.

100 posts in and we’re still building. Still growing. Still working, still developing and still teaching great habits!

And honestly… this one is for us.

Family on me.
Family on three. ❤️🏆
