Chapter 1 — Born Into Chaos
The road to becoming a media mogul wasn’t easy. Before there were cameras, interviews, or a company called Nolazine, there was chaos. Before I ever learned how to use my voice, I learned how to stay quiet.
I was born Darren Tolliver, not Darren Ogden. That part of my story matters because it set the tone for everything that followed. My father, Darren M. Ogden, was in jail when I was born. There was no proud father standing over a hospital bed, no last name immediately passed down, no sense of certainty about what my future would look like. My mother, Rosie Tolliver, did the best she could under the circumstances, but from the very beginning my life was shaped by absence, doubt, and instability.

When my father was finally released from jail, he wanted confirmation—proof that I was his. So he ordered a blood test. I was only six months old when the results came back. The test confirmed what my mother had always known: I was his son. That was the moment my name changed from Darren Tolliver to Darren Ogden. Most people grow into their name naturally. Mine came with conditions, paperwork, and uncertainty.……READ MORE #books #bookaholic #bookstagrammer #bookstagram #mustread

🚨 STOP ignoring those debt collector calls!

Let’s be real, ignoring them doesn’t make the debt disappear… it just gives them more power. 👀
If you answer and handle it the right way, you protect your rights and your credit score. Here’s what to do ⤵️

1️⃣ Answer the call calmly.
Never argue, admit to owing the debt, or agree to pay on the spot.

2️⃣ Ask them to communicate by mail ONLY.
Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), you have the right to written communication. This keeps everything documented.

3️⃣ Send a “Debt Validation Letter” within 30 days of their first contact.
👉 Ask for:
• The name of the original creditor
• The full amount and breakdown of the debt
• The date the debt was allegedly incurred
• Proof they have legal authority to collect
• Verification that the debt is not past the statute of limitations

4️⃣ If they can’t validate the debt, request deletion from your credit report because inaccurate or unverified debts must be removed under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

⚖️ Remember: debt collectors are legally required to verify, not intimidate. Protect your rights, keep everything in writing, and stay in control of your credit journey.
