[Why do some trainers catch the 1-2 on the right hand?]
#
This was a question/topic ran into 2X this past week so I thought I’d share with the audience.
#
I will speak for myself. Sometimes when I hold for the jab-cross (1-2) on the [left hand + right hand], it’s very easy for the client to be short on extending the jab and really long on the cross.
#
But if I hold for the both the jab-cross on the right hand, the clients get to punch 1 target (head) for both punches, which helps to develop better punch mechanics.
#
There’s nothing wrong with holding left to right for the jab-cross. For me, it all depends on the client/situation and the combo we are executing.
#
Would love to hear your thoughts?
