USC Sports Performance Coaching Internship

This past semester, I had the opportunity to intern coach with USC Sports Performance, working primarily with @usc_track_field and @uscwsoccer . Some highlights included administering performance testing using VALD force plates, developing my Olympic lifting coaching skills, and completing a 12-week program design project for Women’s Beach Volleyball. Most importantly, I formed wonderful relationships with the coaches, athletes, and fellow interns throughout this experience.

Huge shoutout to Coach Taty, @coach_samsmith , @gkastelan , and @starky_.44 for the mentorship and support during my time at USC Sports Performance — the culture here is truly phenomenal.

Excited for what’s next at UCSF Sports Medicine!

Thank you Santa Barbara

I am forever grateful for the relationships, memories, and for the people who’ve mentored me at UCSB and P3. This place and the people will always have a special place in my heart. The people truly do make the place.

Go gauchos! 💙💛

Always learning!

SoCal Sports Performance Clinic 2025! (Little me was STOKED)

Key takeaways:
1. We can monitor certain metrics but we always need to evaluate from a global approach.
2. Data promotes buy in and an established process is needed, underpromise & over-deliver, and tackle complexity with simplicity!
3. When it comes to shoulder training, coach up the REACH - this is often overlooked in simple movements.
4. Be where your feet are and push yourself to tackle new opportunities when they come.

Thank you @usc_sportsperformance !
