POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I’m officially leveling up to 34 today! 🎉

Even tho it sounds cliché, this lap around the sun has had many ups and downs. In year 33, I’ve learned to stop caring as much what other people think and pursue my own joy. I’ve grown to be confident and proud of myself, and have leaned into the silly, playful side of my personality.

I’ve learned that I am both fiercely dependent, strong, resilient, capable, AND soft, sensitive, emotional, and kind. And that it’s okay to be both.

I’m hoping year 34 will bring more self love, a better relationship with rest, a more deep understanding of how my brain works, and countless moments of joy, laughter, and peace.

Although his face isn’t in this reel, (literally why do we not have videos together, only pictures??) year 34 will most definitely include my Ben. He has been the constant grounding, empowering, most supportive presence for the last 15 years of my life. He’s my favorite person, my best friend, and I’m so happy we have chosen to share this life together.

So here’s to 34! 🥂

2027 Valliance Luketa can HOOP‼️

The Canadian PG is scoring with ease, creating for his teammates, and dunking on defenders. He will be a top guard in the Grind Session this year🏀

I’m finally sharing pics from the ball! Me and @czzarr have been working on our dresses for months (mostly Cassie because she’s a sewing goddess) and it was so fun to get dressed up and meet other kind people who are just as nerdy about fantasy books! ✨🗡️

Okay, I’m going to go stare at my holographic dragon dress now 😍

I’m so happy to finally share our kitchen with you! 💕

Over the summer, we had a tough decision to make. Should we renovate or buy a new house? We love our house, but we were bursting at the seams! We had simply outgrown our starter home.

We made the decision to renovate for a variety of reasons. We were lucky enough to purchase our home 11 years ago 🤯 so we bought it for half what it’s worth now and have an amazing interest rate. Plus we love our neighborhood, location, and our home.

So around August we began meeting with contractors, designers, looking into HELOCs, and picking our colors and styles. We signed a contract and started decluttering! The demo started in October, just before Halloween.

My brother is a contractor (sadly he isn’t licensed in our state so he couldn’t work on our project) and he warned me how much this was going to suck. He told me to imagine washing dishes in the bathtub and men being in my house everyday. He told me to expect unexpected expenses and for the project to take longer than we thought. I thought I was prepared… but I was not.

If you’ve ever lived thru a kitchen renno, you’ll know how tough it is! Three months of my safe place not feeling safe. Not being able to walk across the floor in socks because of random staples/nails and dirty cardboard. Of making a crockpot meal on the bathroom counter and getting a snack from the bedroom. Of having a constant runny nose and sinus pressure from all the dust. Of writing huge checks that made me want to panic and finding problem after problem. Of having random men in our house all hours of every day.

I recognize that there are MUCH worse things happening in the world and I’m very lucky and privileged to be able to do something like this. And it was also really hard. Both things can be true.

But our kitchen is done and we are so thrilled! There have been multiple times that I just walk into the kitchen and stare at it (and sometimes start crying). I’m so thankful to be able to make our home feel more like ours and invest in a space we will use everyday.
