🍗🐟 COACH JOY SMITH SAID FORGET THE RESTAURANT…COME TO HER HOUSE! 😂

We asked Coach Joy where SportsLifeTalk should eat when we pull up to Oxford.

Her answer?

🏠 “MY HOUSE. I’M A COOK.”

Okay Coach…YOU SAID IT! 👀😂

Fried fish. Fried chicken. Drunken noodles. Oxtails. Braised short ribs…

And apparently we better bring the paper plates, plastic cups and COKE ZERO! 🥤🤣

Coach Joy, just know SportsLifeTalk NEVER forgets a food invitation. 😂

😳🏛️ “WAIT…YOU WERE PUTTING WHAT IN THE VICE PRESIDENT’S BRIEFING BOOK?!”

Yeah…we had questions too. 😂

During her White House internship, she worked in domestic and economic policy with a small group of interns.

And this wasn't just getting coffee. 👀

📚 Projects
🏛️ White House events
📰 Tracking current events

Then came one pretty wild assignment...

Helping put current events into the briefing book prepared for Vice President Joe Biden.

Her response?

“I don't know if he read it…but it was in there.” 😂

Of course B Jones immediately went somewhere else:

“So you had CLASSIFIED INFORMATION?!” 🤣🤣

NO, B JONES. 😂

🎥 There's MUCH more to this story.

Watch the FULL You Got Next episode to hear how she landed a White House internship and what her summer working inside the White House was really like.

🏀💯 “YOU HAVE TO MEET THEM WHERE THEY ARE.”

That lesson changed Coach Joy Smith.

Early in her career, she expected players to approach the game the way SHE did.

Experience—and becoming a mom—changed that. ❤️

Now she’s still a TRUTH TELLER.

She’s still going to GET ON YOU. 😂

But there’s patience and empathy behind it.

Her philosophy?

MEET THEM WHERE THEY ARE.

THEN HELP BRING THEM UP. 📈💯
