😐🇨🇦 #Toronto Lets Have This Discussion!! Honest, Heartfelt Thoughts!?🤔👇🏾👇🏿👇🏽👇🏻👇 It’s wack and embarrassing what happened at the last two #KendrickLamar shows. Liking his music is one thing — but cheering a track that disrespects your own city and country? That’s different. “Not Like Us” takes direct shots at Canadians — then y’all turn around and ask for a wheel up? 🙃 There’s a line between being a fan and being shameless. 100% we know not everyone in attendance are actually part of the culture or even from #Toronto. A lot of them were just out there clout chasing. @champagnepapi done more for this city than anyone, he put Toronto on the map, brought money, opportunity, even moved back here from LA. Front row at the raptors games amongst us within reach 😐 We all literally witnessed Drake’s organic come-up, saw him in the city step by step, putting in work from the ground up. He aligned himself with the #Raptors, pushed local talent, built up #OVO, and repped the 6 globally. We watched him have to cross over to America just to reach his peak, because being from Canada came with extra hurdles. That makes it even more wild to see people from here hype up a track that plays into the same disrespect he’s been facing his whole career. Would this happen at a Kendrick show in LA? Ask yourself why it happened here. Same people hyping that diss track will be front row at OVO Fest. Drake should 100% feel betrayed. Let’s not forget — Americans have been trying to clown #Drake for being Canadian since day one. He’s had to work twice as hard to earn respect in a U.S.-dominated industry, and STILL IS and he still reps Toronto every step of the way. So for some people from his own city to turn around and cheer a diss track that plays into that same narrative? It’s wild. POLL: DID YOU SUPPORT THE KENDRICK SHOW!?👇🏾👇🏿👇🏽👇🏻👇
