A magnificent monster once said, “…I Was Born Warm…” I can dig it! calories up to 2900-I’m happy to report that we are stabilizing at around 174 pounds! … so now we re-rack & start the experiment again… where will my weight be in 5 days? The last thing we want is the scale to start trend towards 173…. Now patients comes into play… remember, we’re bulking till Super Bowl time that’s enough time for my Buccaneers to go 5-12, plus the playoffs! all it takes is sticking to the calories consistently AND sticking to typically the same food consistently… this is about a month that I have been bulking and I have not had any fast food food at all… fast food cals are typically extremely dense and fat laden… not all calories are the same… I completed my first bulk during the last half of 2025, back then all I wanted was 5000 cal daily and I didn’t care where it came from… the only time that I was using the scale last year was just to see how fast I could get to 200 pounds..: we don’t do that anymore… now all I have to do is consult with the judge, the jury executioner, also known as the scale every single morning, and stay at my 2900 cal, and what happens in the meantime? I am growing muscle, and my strength is going up, without inhaling double whoppers W/ cheese and dirt cheap calorie dense baked goods… bulking was a nightmare, when you put the scale in charge and hit your calories, that stops and all your left with is a solid game plan and strength gains… I grew up a happy, blessed little fat boy that still finds comfort and solace under his mother‘s big ole soft Colombian titty-my entire life pull-ups have been my arch nemesis. Last night I hit three sets for five marginally decent pull-ups over hand grip-in 30 days I may still be doing 15, however, form will get better because the little blessed fat boy finally grew lats in a slight calorie surplus! Speaking of lats, about a month ago, a kind member of the village gently advised me that: “…maybe DONT go full stage, if I don’t even know how to spread my lats..” one month later and all I can say is “i feel you” ty all!

2800 daily cals, low 174… this is good. Roughly 5 days I anticipate raising my carb-calories by 100, after five days from today that following week I will be chasing 175 pounds on the scale… this is tempered growth. Calm patient and damn near predictive…. The reason I feel methodical bulking is sustainable is because I am watching my lagging muscles and my frame fill out in real time… during the playback tonight, I don’t even recognize those lumps that are starting to consume my upper back area around my shoulders because I’ve always neglected shoulder training and arm training and back training… side note: we are gonna be at planet fitness for a while… primarily because PF is 2/10 of a mile from my home-EOS is nearly 12 miles round-trip… I adore EOS however EOS is not in the stars at the moment… and that’s OK too… my muscles cannot tell the difference…. And the members are slowly starting to understand there is absolutely no shame in flexing targeted muscles through out the lift! In fact, IMO flexing muscles between sets forces blood in every little nook cranny and into every seam that separates our muscle groups! And To share a moment with all of you, towards the end of tonight’s lift, I glanced across the planet fitness to see some young bucks posing biceps between sets… watching them stand there with engorged arms up, chest tall, and eyes that resembles round saucers I covertly witnessed them smiling hard at their reflections!!! And that is how we grow together!!! #shoulders #gym #bodybuilding #samsulek #chosensupps

Daily cals 2800… I used to think the goal of bulking was to gain weight, no matter what I was wrong…. The goal of bulking is to exist in a calorie surplus however, the calorie surplus must be carefully monitored to ensure only 1 pound of body weight is gained per week…. I feel like the goal of bulking is two fold… first we must exist in a consistent surplus and train incredibly hard and second we have to not gain excessive body fat… existing in a surplus training, hard and growing muscle is not the hard part of the bulk…. The hard part of the bulk is not gaining excessive body fat while existing in a calorie surplus… this is why the scale is an extremely powerful tool not so much to confirm. We are gaining muscle and putting on weight no no no no the purpose of the scale is to confirm. We are only gaining about a pound a week as more than a pound a week will more than likely result in unnecessary fat gain… bulking and cutting favor patient humans…. Because patient humans understand that time is the true measurement of progress… I was impatient last year. I spent the last half of 2025 lifting like a beast and averaging 5000 cal a day. It didn’t take long for me to get over 206 pounds…. However, it took me nine months of extreme cutting to remove all that excess fat for my body throughout this entire year… I am not chasing 200 pounds during this bulk… I am chasing 1 pound of weight gain every week on a scale…. And again the 1 pound isn’t to prove to myself that I’m gaming muscle. The 1 pound a week is confirm that I am gaining minimal fat while building muscle…. I have roughly 20 weeks of bulking ahead of me…. By turning my scale into a diagnostic tool to ensure that I’m only gaining a pound a week and no more this puts me in a position to add 20 pounds to my frame between now and next year Super Bowl….. granted half of those 20 pounds may be fat but the other 10 pounds will be lean mass! this is how we fkng grow smarter not harder!!! #squats #deadlift #traps #gymmotivation #gym

3000 daily calories… come to find out the first stage of a proper bulk is called the maintenance phase… from what I understand the maintenance phase is all about gathering data intelligence and trajectory calculations…. …. Last year I was so consumed with hitting 200 pounds during my bulk that I failed to harness the power of the scale…. Right now my body needs 3000 cal for about 10 days or so. …. The immediate objective is to see how the scale fluctuates in 10 days at the same 3000 consistent calories…… in essence, the scale is the gatekeeper the judge and the jury…. Thank you all for the powerful blueprints, brilliant support, and magnificent stepping stones… I love you all… I deserve nothing… #gymmotivation #shoulders #glutes #biceps #bodybuilding

We spent the first complete eight months of this year in an aggressive cutting phase… calories were minimal, carbs, extremely limited … typically only bananas and sourdough bread, utilize this carb sources… we averaged around 1600 cal all year long…. The entire point of committing to this cut for the first eight months of the year was NOT to get lean..it was to force my body to exist without very minimal carbohydrates and calories… to force my body to adapt and continue to find homeostasis, despite very little calories and carbs…. And why??? because this is the only true way to unleash the power of a bulk!!! it took nine months in a deficit with hardly any carbs to make the carbohydrates and calories I’m consuming now so powerful and anabolic…. Blow my cutting bulking cycle for context sake. Jan 2025-June 2025 my first cut cycle…. July 2025-November 2025 my first bulk cycle…. December 2025-August 2026 my second cut…. September 2026-till early 2027 we are bulking….. the one variable that had remained constant since the very beginning (Jan 2025) is an approximate 200 daily grams of whey protein…and an average 1.5 gallon of water daily…. This is how we grow. This is how we shape shit….. #armday #quads #neck #gymmotivation #bodybuilding
