The awesome people at Coal Iron Works hooked it up with this little care package. Used the small steak knife to open it up. Made by me with the help of their 12 ton press a few years back.

Right now our forges are sitting on a broken Diy cart and the cheap wire carts from Amazon, and honestly they were never designed to safely hold the weight and heat of a forge long term as the broken wheel shows.

At Warriors Way, we run knife-making and blacksmithing classes for veterans, first responders, and youth, and hundreds of people come through our shop every year. Those carts have worked in a pinch, but they’re not ideal or the safest setup for a teaching environment.

A Coal Iron forge cart would make a huge difference for us. It would give our chili forges a stable, purpose-built platform so students can focus on learning instead of us worrying about equipment stability.

This wouldn’t just help one smith —
it would support hundreds of veterans who walk through our doors every year looking for purpose, camaraderie, and healing through the forge.

A safer setup means better classes, safer students, and more veterans served. So hopefully we are picked for the GAW!!

Sometimes I think I may have put too much faith in this old grill cart. My new @housemade.us Apollo grill may be a little too heavy for it. Sometimes I think I hear the wheels talking back. @coalironworks @coal_school

@coalironworks is going to help me elevate my gas forge cart so I don't set fire to any more bike seats.

The current cart is made from an old bbq grill and it lacks storage and height.

If I don't win a new cart,I may have to buy one.
