For the past two years, I’ve been working towards a goal that I set when I attended my first class at Marshall… today, I can officially say that I’ve been accepted into the JCESOM Early Assurance Program! When I first set this goal, I had no idea what the future held, or if this goal was even achievable. I constantly reminded myself of my senior quote from the book of Isaiah: “Where God guides, He provides.” To say I’ve been provided for at Marshall would be an understatement. I’ve met so many amazing people who have been here to help me along the way! This goal would not have been possible without you! I would like to thank the physicians who took the time to show me the impact that you can make on a patient’s life. Your empathy revealed to me what medicine is truly about, and guided me from wanting to be a physician to NEEDING to be! To the friends I’ve made, I can’t say enough about you guys. Without your encouragement and the teamwork that we’ve put forth every single day, it wouldn’t have been possible. To Mom and Dad, thank you for sacrificing your time for my goals. There was never a day when I didn’t come home, whether it was at 5:00pm, or after a midnight study session, that you weren’t greeting me with dinner and ready to talk about my day. Lastly, to Emmy, no matter how my day went, you never failed to make me smile. I could be in the worst mood ever, but you always changed that. You’ve been so supportive of this dream, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to love. Truly, you are God’s greatest gift. Everyone’s love, prayers, and support is something I’m eternally grateful for. Love you all and Go Herd! 💚🦬 @musomwv

God’s purpose for me is heaven. That’s where my hope is and the tighter that I hold onto that rope, the more stable my life here feels. My eternity is secure even when life here feels scary and unsure.

If you have trusted Jesus as your savior, then remember today He is your sure and steadfast anchor in heaven. Lean into that hope and feel the stability.

There is hope in sickness, hope for disappointment, hope in death and grief hope in annoyance, hope in relationships, hope for relief, hope for provision, hope for insurmountable, and hope for simply infuriating.

There is hope for me, whether I’m at the end of my rope or just losing my grip a little. The amount of hope available depends on Jesus not my situation .

Seek,Seek,Remember:
God, help me use this combo effectively.

Seek the Lord and His strength.
I try to do things my own way in my own power everyday. If I will just seek the Lord, He will lend me His strength and I will be reminded that it’s not on my shoulders.

Seek His presence continually.
I want to practice God’s presence with me ALL day. That’s when He is available: inside every minute. I want to stay with Him. That’s where joy and peace are.

Remember the wondrous works that he has done.

This is more than just being thankful. Though I need a reminder to do that, remembering what he has done increases my faith. Recognizing and recalling how the hand of God has changed my circumstances gives me hope for today.

Words cannot describe the emotions that I have felt this week of graduation…. The relief that school is over and I DID it, the uncertainty of a new career, the sadness that this group of people that have all bonded over the stress of what seemed like an impossible task at sometimes will most likely not be working side by side any longer, the excitement of my new journey in the NICU taking care of precious little lives 🥺 I’m so thankful for my amazing family and friends without each one of these people I could not have done it!!! I love each one of you more than you know! THANK YOU🥰
