⭐️Book Review⭐️

Thank you @SimonAndSchuster @WunderBooksPR for the #gifted copy of this fantastic history / biography book.

The Ballad of Fugitive William Parker is a remarkable biography of an escaped slave who works to protect his family at the same time as he fights for his freedoms. Written by @COApowicz -- this book is inspiring, shocking, and intriguing. It introduced me to a part of history about which I knew too little, and opened my eyes. It takes place before the Civil War, and Mr Parker was a brave, strong, resilient man who risked everything to stand up for himself, his family, and all of the enslaved people.

The author explained the Christiana Resistance in a way that made it easy to digest, filled with details about the choices Mr Parker faced. I experienced the fear and sacrifice with him and the others involved. I found myself committed to him. I cared about him and his fight for rights. His work should be known. He should be understood. And all of us should be willing to fight for our rights the way he did.

I highly recommend this one.
