Emerging from the ether with a *gasp* and a resounding THANK YOU THANK YOU 🙏 to everyone who made Void 2026 so magnificent. Three days of tattooing, a coalescence of independent creatives, artisan crafters, and alt art enthusiasts all funneling into a deep well of community. Feeding the endless VOID inside us all that craves inspiration, solidarity, and joy. Our hope for VOID Tattoo Fest is to create something specific: experienced artist-run, maintaining an intimate vibe through hand-picked tattooers, and to center community in everything we do. For 2026, this materialized into live tattooing throughout two sides of the Jupiter Hotel, a stacked lineup of independent artists and makers, Oregon CEU-accredited education taught by the best, celebratory tattoo contests, the cutest dogs, DJs, drag queens, a block party, and conversations centered on culture, inclusion and expansion. We invest in our artists 🌀 Raise money for community 🌀 Make space for creatives to connect, learn, work, and build something that’s “only forever” 🌀 We hope to dive deeper this year. We’ll keep the perimeter curated, holding tight to our friendship with @jupiterhotel, and still the world inside the VOID will expand into new depths. The Thick-Line Titan: How Aaron Draplin Redefined American Graphic Design. Aaron Draplin is a powerhouse of modern graphic design, celebrated for his bold, utilitarian "thick line" aesthetic and blue-collar work ethic. Based in Portland, Oregon, he operates the Draplin Design Co., where he champions a functional, nostalgic style that breathes new life into mid-century Americana. Draplin is perhaps most famous for co-founding Field Notes, a brand of memo books inspired by vintage agricultural notebooks he discovered while "junking" across the Midwest. His portfolio is a masterclass in versatility, spanning from small-town mom-and-pop shops to global giants. He has collaborated with major clients such as Nike, Ford Motor Company, Patagonia, and Target. In 2019, he even reached a milestone in public design by creating the "Star Ribbon" Forever Stamp for the United States Postal Service. MADE Day 2: Part 1 🔨 I decided to spend a little more time visiting all the fun things around MADE. Honestly, I didn’t even get to visit everyone because I ran out of time. You bet your ass I got a Radavist x Yellowbird shutter button! It was such a treat to visit both of their booths and have fun conversations. SimWorks booth was so fun with a visit from Ghooost and Tomii. I got to slap a Kyoot sticker on the White Industry crawler and deliver some La Croix lol The free tattoos bicycle tattos at the Industry Nine booth was so awesome. Wish I would have gotten one. Hot dogs were YUMMY! Stay tuned for part 2 where we ride the ramen, gyoza, RC, and yoyo ride!!
