2016 rewind ⏪

Two years into the DWA! Podcast(9 years into DWA!), and things were picking up. Our first DWA! Rally (about 35 cars!), Halfie Rallies, and Art swapped his 993 for an NSX like it was no big deal. We road-tripped to Luft 3, went Camping While Awesome at Laguna Seca, hit SEMA, and hosted DWA! Morning Motors at the Coffeeville lot on Ocean Street.

Lane hit a deer in his 944, RADwood was just starting to be a conversation, and the DWA! community was really taking shape.

Looking back 10 years later, it’s wild to see how much was already in motion. Let’s see what the next 10 years have in store.

Performing the lifter modification to this 2006 330i 6spd that came to us from Virginia. These modified Valvetronic supports increase the Intake Valve Lift an additional +1mm and also add 2-3° more duration to
the Intake Valve Lift an additional +1mm and also add 2-3° more duration to the intake cam. In order to fully take advantage of this modification, the vehicle needs to be tuned. On average we see gains of around 5-8hp to the wheels across the entire rpm band. Coupled with the 3 Stage Intake Manifold, exhaust, MILVS, and our N52 Dyno Tune this 330i put down 228hp to the wheels.

We had an awesome send-off drive and 70th birthday for our good friend @cobramarty today. Marty and Sue will be missed, but we hope they’ll still be able to make it on some future DWA! rallies

Another out of town guest arrived at the shop for MILV's, 3 Stage Intake Manifold swap and a dyno tune. This unique 128i was driven all the way from New York to visit us. What makes this 1 Series unique is that it is the last year of the 1 here in the US. It features unique marques on the sill plates and special wheels only for the last year of the 1 series. With the new modifications this 128i will turn even more heads on the streets.
