WHAT’S ON THIS WEEK -

We’re kicking off the week with the technical death metal mastery of German heavyweights Obscura at Shred Fest in Whammy on Tuesday.

Wednesday brings punk, hardcore and a touch of emo to Public Bar with Gnaw, Stamp Fair and Clementine.

KreoleJuJu and DJ Seccy take over Whammy for a FREE night of house and hip-hop from 7PM on Thursday.

On Friday, we’re hosting an important fundraiser in Whammy: Hello Kete, a night of Māori, Pasifika and queer music and experimental art in support of Wheke Fortress. And The Obfuscators, Tooms and O/Pus bring art-noise, jazz and punk to Public Bar

On Saturday Australian duo 2charm make their Aotearoa debut in Double Whammy with a euphoric blend of indie house, pop and electronic sounds, joined by Lucy Gray and Chris Keene.

Catch the train in and we’ll see you under the arcade!

I was blindsided tonight to find out after a big break and a casual drop on Friday ‘Jump Into That Ride’ is #1 on student radio only a few days later 💚 It’s hard to explain but I love being a hardened Tāmaki girl lol, I love underground music in Aotearoa right now and I appreciate @95bfm for still framing me as the people’s princess when I’m often made to feel like the tough aunty lmao. Thank you @bigfatraro and everyone who voted cos what the actual hell, so cute! 💚
