COD Alum Michael-Alan Stanford Signs Professional Contract with Utica Unicorns

⚾️ From Roadrunner to the Pros! ❤️💛

Congratulations to former @CollegeOfTheDesert @CODBaseball standout Michael-Alan Stanford on signing a professional baseball contract with the Utica Unicorns of the United Shore Professional Baseball League!

Stanford's journey is a true Roadrunner success story. During his two seasons at COD, he helped lead the Roadrunners to:
🏆 The program's first conference championship in 51 years (2022)
🏆 Back-to-back playoff appearances
⭐ First Team All-Inland Empire Athletic Conference (2022)
⭐ Second Team All-Inland Empire Athletic Conference (2023)

After transferring to the University of Utah, Stanford competed at the NCAA Division I level before earning his opportunity to play professional baseball.

"College of the Desert gave me the confidence and preparation I needed to compete at the NCAA Division I level... I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunities and foundation I received at COD—they helped make everything that followed possible."

Michael's path from College of the Desert to NCAA Division I baseball and now the professional ranks reflects the hard work, perseverance, and commitment that define Roadrunner Athletics.
