🏆 CODE IMPACT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 🏆

Congrats to 4⭐️ QB Brysen Hall on earning Week 4 Code Impact Player of the Week! 🔥

Hall was surgical, completing 16-of-22 passes for 291 yards and 4 TDs 🎯 But the best part? After every single touchdown, he made sure to celebrate with his guys. That’s the type of leadership you want from your QB.

Big-time performance from QB1! 📈

I can’t help but be proud of friends when they do cool stuff, and I couldn’t be prouder of my guy @peternelsonii and the entire @sisu_sauna team right now. His event @hellonhogsback is one of a kind, I was honored to run in the three hour division this year with my good friend @cameronahouse.

I am by no means a runner, but when you’re thinking about family and friends that have gone through hell and back on their personal journeys with cancer, it makes it a lot easier. My brother @spencechecketts is a survivor and I thought a lot about how grateful I am that he is 100% cancer free for more than 20 years.

15 laps, just over 15 miles on the day, admittedly a lot of walking on the uphill but I was grateful to be there with so many good people.

HOGSBACK “26”

I didn’t get to participate this year, but I made it there just in time to catch the last few hours of the 12-hour endurance group.

You guys are all so inspiring. The determination, grit, and heart it took to finish what you started was incredible to watch.

@peternelsonii congratulations to you and your team on another successful year! I’ll definitely be taking part in this one in the future.

@jeff.sev you’re inspiring, my guy! Thank you for letting me ride with you for the last hour of your 12. Watching you dig deep and keep moving when your body was telling you otherwise showed so much heart. You never backed down, bro. Proud of you!

Nothing but respect for everyone who stepped out there and tested themselves today. THAT’S GOOD WORK. @thegoodworkgang @hellonhogsback

The 6 P’s:

Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance.

Fighting on August 23, 2025 was a 12-month process.

It was the first time I had touched the MMA cage in 8 years.

But you never really fight alone.

You fight with a team in your corner.
People who help you prepare.
People who sharpen you.
People who help put you in position to perform when it matters.

Like anything else, though, you still have to do the work.

For 12 months, I prepared across Ohio and Colorado—physically, mentally, technically, and strategically.

Forever grateful to everyone who supported that journey, and to all the people who have been part of the process—past, present, and future.

Preparation matters.
Your corner matters.
And when the moment comes, you still have to perform.

August 23, 2025, I made my way back to the MMA cage for the first time in 8 years.

A big part of that process was getting my body ready to perform, and one of the people who helped me do that was @dr.chad.sheehan at @codechiro in Beachwood, Ohio.

For those who don’t know, I’m a Self-Defense Strategist for People, Brands & Businesses. I lead @reciprocity_studios as a strategist and 🎥 producer.

To borrow Mark Pollard’s phrase:

“Strategy is an informed way to win.” 🥇

My background also includes working as a Division I strength and conditioning coach, so I know preparation isn’t just about how hard you can push.

Recovery is part of the strategy.

Taking care of your body, managing fatigue, restoring movement, and putting yourself in position to perform are foundational to success—whether you’re preparing for a fight, building a business, or trying to perform at a high level in life.

This was the day of weigh-ins. Aug 22nd. 2025

I was still about 9 pounds over, but I had hydrated and prepared well enough that we had a plan.

That’s the thing about strategy:

You don’t just work hard.

You understand where you are, where you need to go, and what your body and circumstances require to get there.
