What a wonderful experience with the Black Ambition Fundable Founders cohort! I left feeling encouraged, energized, and grateful to be surrounded by people who are building boldly and sharing what they’ve learned.

Thank you to @thehubatofficelogic for hosting us, and to @ctj360photobooth for capturing the video. This reel features I‑95 Express Courier—the business my husband and I have worked hard to build and continue growing.

We’re also in the middle of a major acquisition journey, with just one month left to make a decision. The timing is real, the work is challenging, and this cohort experience gave me even more to reflect on as we decide our next move.

Learning it is one thing. Putting it into practice a few hours later? Whew 😮‍💨Week 8 of Fundable Founders brought us together in person with the JPMC team, and my notebook was FULL. A few lessons that have stayed with me:

🎯 The 5 1s. Focus has been one of my biggest takeaways—and one of the hardest to practice when you see possibilities everywhere.

🌱 Entrepreneurship takes discipline, grit, and patience. The idea is exciting. Showing up consistently while you figure it out is the work.

🤝 Build relationships before you need them. Your ecosystem matters, and you don’t have to build alone.

📊 Know your numbers. A big vision needs a business that can support it.

Later that day, I went from learning mode to pitch mode with @auxiliary_aeronautics for an Olympics opportunity. A very real chance to take what I’ve been learning and put it to work.

That’s what SHOWING UP has meant for me lately: being willing to learn, ask questions, practice, and step into the room before I feel completely ready.

Grateful to @blackambitionprize, @codner.co and JPMC teams—and the founders building alongside me—for the lessons and community I’m carrying into both @psyconicllc and Aux Aero. 💛

I made this episode a while ago.
I loved it when I made it.
And then I talked myself out of posting it.
Not because the message changed.
Because I started thinking about everything that could be wrong with it.
The AI.
The style.
Whether people would “get it.”
Whether it fit what people expected from me.
Whether it would perform.
Whether somebody would have something to say.
And somewhere in all that noise, I did the exact thing this episode is about.
I started looking outside of myself for permission to trust what I already knew.
So I’m posting it now.
Not because I suddenly became fearless.
Because I’m tired of allowing fear to have editing privileges over my life.
This episode was made with AI because, at the time, that was part of how I wanted to tell the story. Future episodes of Grand Ri5ing… The Journey will mostly be real-life footage, real conversations, real family, real work, real joy, real fear, real building, and occasionally AI if it actually adds something to the experience.
But the point of this series is not perfection.
It’s the journey.
And this episode feels like the right place to begin because this was the moment I realized Peace Is My Power was never supposed to stop at a shirt.
It was an invitation.
A reminder.
A doorway.
And I was still trying to understand what was on the other side of it.
I still am.
The difference now is I’m not waiting until I have all the answers before I let you watch me build them.
You’re getting the middle.
The spirals. The breakthroughs.
The laughter. The tears.
The AUDHD.
The family. The business.
The questions. The decisions.
The pivots.
The PEACE.
& apparently, a few things I almost left sitting in drafts forever. 😂
So. Fahk it.

You cannot build long money from short-term panic.

This week inside the @blackambitionprize Fundable Founders Learning Labs, facilitated by @codner.co, @vincenthunt reminded us that Facebook built the audience before heavily monetizing it.

That made me think about how many entrepreneurs say we want long money and long legacy while operating from urgency or paralysis.

Then came this reminder:

“Clear discipline doesn’t give you restriction. It gives you liberty.”

For me, that means fewer distractions, stronger boundaries, and getting clear on the ONE problem my business exists to solve.

For FeelWell™ @feelwellmagazine, that answer is simple:

I create ways for women in business and leadership to FeelWell™.

The most dangerous place I have ever hidden was inside an answered prayer.

I promised myself that I would begin visually documenting my journey, and the reason is intentional.

I can only know where I’m headed if I have a clear view of where I’ve been. What better way to witness that than to transform the journey into more than a lived experience...

into a visual library of legacy.

So here we are…

Week One as a student accepted into the @blackambitionprize & @codner.co Fundable Founders Learning Lab.

Have you ever walked into a room you worked hard to make it into, but still felt like you had to convince yourself that you belonged there?

I have.

I’ve been praying for rooms that inspire me.

Challenge me.

Make me reach beyond what I know about business and, apparently, what I know about myself.

I’ve been craving a space that makes me feel… stuck 😅

Strange, I know.
But what I also know is this:

It is only in the wiggling out of the stuck that you attain the skills necessary to achieve true success.

A quote I remind myself of often is “The key to success is failure.”

I don’t believe in failure as a final thing. But I do believe every attempt leaves evidence.

Metrics gathered through trial and error.

Information I can carry forward so I never have to begin again empty-handed.

This is the continuation of something very beautiful…..

Being chosen got me in the room.
Choosing myself is what kept me from disappearing once I arrived.
