We’ve all seen the videos of ultra precise sections and heavy clipping on social media. While I love that clean look, it’s just not always realistic when you’re grinding through a super busy day at the shop.

In this video, I’m showing how I section the hair and move freely around the head to keep things efficient without sacrificing quality during my day to day work.

When I was first starting out, I’d get discouraged when my sections weren’t perfect and I felt like everything took forever.

Just a reminder to be yourself, stay creative and don’t be too hard on yourself. There’s more than one way to get the job done. Keep learning, trust your process and find what works for you.

That being said we are also bummed that @spankysbarbershop is losing such a good barber and even better person. We’re sure they’re going to miss him just as much as we’re excited to have him.

As of today I am moving forward in joining my dudes at @goodtimesbarbers_ ! My first day will be Thursday September 24th. Booking is live now. I’m appreciative of my time at Spanky’s and I wish them nothing but the best. Hope to see y’all in my chair soon!
