One year of CROHNIC. This book has brought me all across the country, into the lives of some dreamy people, and has opened up some truly meaningful conversations with folks also living with chronic illness. Sending big love and thanks to everyone who has read it and everyone who plans to, who has sent me kind messages or written lovely, thoughtful reviews, has shared the book with friends, has let me know that the book has made even a small impact, and of course to @arsenalpulp for giving it a home. I am grateful for what this little award-loser has made possible for me, and I’m excited for what’s next. I am not playing with book three. She’s coming. Until then, love and gratitude and birthday celebrations!

when i started editing at @simonschusterca there were a lot of ideal books i hoped to find, but my dream book was one that centred Indigenous teachings with western psychological principals. (i can be a bit of a self-help nerd, and i may have said the words ‘decolonize wellness!’ with a fist out, once or twice.)

little did i know, @louisbusch2 was writing that exact book, and the one he created was so much better than i could have ever imagined.
