There is a sound… and it is sound of men running to the foot of the cross. Over 450 men gathered here in Oklahoma, and for one reason only: to become more like Christ.

This world needs better husbands, better fathers, better brothers, better leaders, better men… and the only way to become a better man is to surrender your life and follow the best man to ever walk the planet: Jesus Christ.

Honest review of the Tulsa State Fair’s Ribeye Steak sandwiches. And there’s some fun little surprises through the video. Enjoy.

Almost two years ago, Lyndsey and I dove head first into owning a business. As you may already know, that business was @crossfit_republic which most would attest operates more as a community than it does a business most of the time.

Around that same time, a few good men from Mount Vernon Christian Church asked if I’d be willing to come support a men’s conference that they were hosting in Oklahoma. My first thoughts were quite literally: “Christian? Men’s Conference? Oklahoma? Let me think about it.”

Like many people, nothing pushed me farther away from Christ over the years more than other Christians. As a matter of fact, the enemy loves using Christians to do that exact thing!

But that’s beside the point. Even despite my doubts, something told me to go. Something said, “You’re gonna need this more than it needs you.” So, I obeyed.

Skip forward a year and it was an immediate “yes” when they said, “Same place, same time?” Only this time, there were a few men in attendance, unbeknownst to me, who God was working through in a separate, fast moving ministry for men known as @cavetime.

I never would’ve thought that just last week in October of 2026 that I’d be serving God’s will once again in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma where men from quite literally dozens of states and 9 countries came to arm themselves with weapons and armor in the fight against the enemy that is looking to devour us the moment we stop paying attention.

What an absolute blessing, honor, and privilege to be just a small instrument in God’s orchestrated message.

I’m so grateful for all these men including my brother @tim_tames_timothy who took time away from work and his family to help me with this event.

I’m especially grateful for my family who has sacrificed more than I can explain as I’ve ventured through business ownership, supporting men’s ministry, and writing this new chapter as I struggled to write the final words and sentences of the last ones.

There’s so much more to say but I will leave it there and just end with thanking God for his masterful plans and reckless grace for me, despite my innumerable sins.

🌻Found ourselves in a rut this weekend. Headed north on I-35. Passing nothing but sunflowers in fields. Forgetting all my luggage. Shopping at goodwill to find something to wear. Eating Aunt Kaye’s banana cake for dinner. Getting lost at the Kansas State fair. Singing The National Anthem. Driving down memory lane. Taking pictures of our great grandparents home. Interviewed by the local radio station. Spending time with some of the best people. Going back to our roots.
If that’s a rut, then I don’t mind it. 🌻 Hutchinson Kansas you will always have a special place in our hearts. Until next time. 🤟

This might be one of the coolest places we’ve found in the Ozarks.

Finley Farms in Ozark, Missouri has the views, the history, the atmosphere… and the food absolutely holds its own.

We tried the smash burger, seared salmon salad, French dip, and the Forge Burger (which btw, that pretzel bun + beer cheese + pulled pork combo was hard to beat).

Finley Farms | Ozark, MO

You should definitely add this one to your list. Would you go??

We went to Skiatook looking for BBQ… and Mac’s did NOT disappoint. 🔥

That brisket was massive, the turkey was legit, and the sides were exactly what you want from a good Oklahoma BBQ joint. And the owner threw in free tri-tip for us to try! It was incredible.

Would you try this place??
